WE do this all the time. Fornier is a “bust” after a bad start and we froth at Derozen who we panned as old and can’t play defense. Lavine and Vooch are all stars. He brings the third.

The whiff on DeRozen is a mystery.

I like players with attitude - still think Reggie Jackson would have been a better chemistry fit than Kemba.

Derozan will come back dow to earth. The season isn’t even halfway over yet

I did not like the idea of DeRozan to NY. Expensive long term signing, career downside around the corner, not a threat from long range, would crowd in Randle, stifle RJ's development. Did not like the idea of Lonzo either, see him as another costly but not game-changing option.

So the way the Bulls have jelled together so quickly and so well is baffling to me.

If you believe in RJ, I don't think you sign someone like DeRozan. I think he would've been a bad fit here on both ends. Plus I honestly think his hot start is a fluke. I think you'll see him decline as the season goes on.

The idea of signing a shooter to space the floor for RJ and Randle was correct but they signed the wrong player in Fournier.

They needed to sign a player like Fornier, who shot like fornier last two years, about Forniers age, for about the same money, and of course was available. But instead, we peek into the time machine and find out he does not shoot as well here, then find someone else.

Now, if we bring Reggie back, its like last season right? Always like that?

This. Everyone is fair weather man crushing on Derozan right now. Can’t wait to see him come back to earth by end of the season

Agree 100% about Derozan. Lonzo would have fit in really well here but it looks like his dad and the Bulls FO had a handshake deal last year before free agency even started

We really need to go hard after Rubio next offseason. I know he’s 31 but his ability to create for teammates on offense we desperately need. It wouldn’t impact McBride either he would still get plenty of run off the bench and Walker and maybe even Rose will both be gone next season

"and his dad" is the reason Lonzo ain't here.

Why is this a surprise?

fwk00 @ 2/8/2022 10:18 PM
Seems like every team we play has an unsigned rotation player or a *who?* draft pick playing significant minutes and contributing.
