That looks like it could be the SL for the next game, minus Grimes

And IQ.

By Xmas it’s gonna be EF vs the Hawks.

I don’t see Grimes being as ready as McBride because Grimes impact was based on a really hot shooting game that obviously isn’t sustainable to that level. He looks the part of a really good backup energy 3&D guy just for right now. McBride on the other hand impacted winning in so many ways that doesn’t feel dependent on hot shooting. He’s a dog defender, good game manager, got into the teeth of the defense, and seems like he can be a 40% open 3pt shooter. I’m really excited to see him with long term extended minutes. He could very well be the future of the PG, but only time will tell. But the Knicks nailed it with this draft. Even Sims who looks like a solid backup center in the league.

Grimes reminds me of a defensive version of Allan Houston.

Duece is a football player like Charlie ward. They both had that level of toughness and coach ability as a PG. grimes is a beast. I think there’s plenty of room to have them both be impact players on this team for a long time. I hope somebody from this group becomes a consistent all star caliber player.

That’s always the goal. But these guys are also solid young role players right now, while in development to be an all star. All these guys have proven to me that they are ready now, including grimes. He’s a system player that’s very unselfish right now. But that will change with confidence.

Duece is an example of a player that used the gleague to build up that in game confidence instead of sitting on the bench. That’s why he looks more ready than grimes. But just sit back and watch. You will be surprised what kind of player grimes turns out to be. But love duece all day. Always like 2way old school defensive guards that can shoot and pass. Even though he can’t break his man down 1 on 1 right now, neither could Charlie ward in the beginning of his career or towards the end. Duece was well coached in college and it shows.

I was going to say Grimes reminded a little of the late Bobby Phills. Solid athlete and two- way player. Formed a formidable backcourt with David Wesley in Charlotte, who was a strong, stocky PG kinda reminiscent of Duece. I will say Duece has shown he can break his man down, but he just can't (or won't) go all the way to the rim.

Knicks need to consolidate via trade soon. They have 11 guys who essentially need minutes. 9 man rotation is best. It’s not a problem now but will be eventually. McBride and Grimes are still 10 and 11 on the depth chart until real changes are made unfortunately.

Come on man.

Julius Randle at Center?

A natural SG in R. J. Barrett at POWER FORWARD ?!?

Slow ass Burks at SF?

UM. WE WOULD 100% GET ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED ON THE BOARDS WITH AWFUL DEFENSE TOO ESPECIALLY DOWN LOW.

C: OBI TOPPIN.
PF: JULIUS RANDLE.
SF: R.J. BARRETT.
SG: IMMANUEL QUICKLEY or QUENTIN GRIMES.
PG: DEUCE MCBRIDE.

I can't lie, now that's a unit I'd love to see.

You forgot the outrageous 9 assists to O turnovers.
