Wholeteamdot, that used to be a thing. Rapists are bad, but we don't know if he really is one or not. So until proven guilty we need warm bodies in the backcourt

Since we're going here -- elder statesman and board favorite Derrick Rose was also accused of rape. Gang rape as a matter of fact. He was found not liable but if you read the reports it's all pretty damn stinky. Good ol' KP was also accused. Seems quite a few athletes have and they usually walk.
I have no idea of guilt or innocence, but there does seem to be a pretty intense level of immaturity and lack of judgement involved with these things -- at best. I guess as a GM or fan you figure how far 'we don't sign choirboys" goes for you.

But then again we live in a strange world where Deshaun Watson is not allowed to play in the nfl and is public enemy #1 despite not a single criminal charge after a year of investigations by multiple law enforcement agencies

Watson isn't band from the NFL, nobody wants that guy as the face of their franchise with those kind of allegations hanging over his head.

The allegations are hot air garbage. Literally the most solid evidence they have is a screenshot of a text thread where Watson asks if a masseuse focuses on the “glute area”
The Steelers will trade for Watson and all will be forgotten
