It was genuinely heart warming to see Kemba and Randle (plus the rest of the team) play with joy and enthusiasm again- really missed seeing that this year from the starters
Re: Grimes and his shooting - the pre-draft analyst clearly missed him as a pure shooter / 3 and D guy in this draft as Duarte and Murphy got way more hype, but why is Grimes not just as good if not better. Knicks were on him.

No, I think most sites had Grimes pegged as a ready made 3&D. Murphy was thought to have more upside because of his physical tools and most teams, including the Knicks, just considered Duarte the better prospect.

Durate = 24 years old.
Grimes = 21 years old.
I would've been pissed if Durate fell to us.
Heck R.J. Barrett is only 21 years old as a 3rd year player.
Durate is only a Rookie but yet 24 years old.
I would not have sniffed let alone touched Durate until the 2nd round.
In the Knicks last 3 summer league games Grimes high IQ performance on both sides of the court looked NBA Ready .. I already put Grimes talent & skills in front of RJ Barrett & Burks NBA experience.
Grimes were the Knicks best pickup in the 2021 offseason!!!
he Hawks were without all 3 of their PG for the Christmas game, matter of fact 2/3 of the Hawks players were out.
And the Knicks only had 1 PG for the Christmas game.
The Knicks PG Kemba Walker were force to play 40 minutes of playing-time giving the Knicks a triple-double (10 pts 10 rbs and 12 Dimes) in a Christmas game.
I was mostly impressed with Kemba giving out 12 assist.
When was the last time PG Kemba gave out double-digit assist? WOW !!!
Oh yeah, the Knicks shot 85 FG attempts for the game, and 50 of those FG shots were 3-ball attempts, hitting 20 out of the 50.
