Knicks · Game Day Thread: New York Knicks @ Minnesota (Tuesday, December 28th @ 8:00 PM). (page 1)

NYKMentality @ 12/27/2021 11:58 PM
Knicks (15-18) @ Minny (16-17).

Today is the beginning of 3 games in 4 nights.

28th = @ Minnesota.
29th = @ Detroit.
31st = @ OKC.

Win all 3 games and not only will we get back to
500 but we'll also make it back into the 8th seed (and possibly the 6th seed).

Imo with Towns and Anthony Edwards out? This is a must win game.

Kemba Walker.
Evan Fournier.
R.J. Barrett.
Julius Randle.
Mitchell Robinson.
Obi Toppin.
Quentin Grimes.
Alec Burks.

Are all healthy.

It'll be beautiful to get both of Immanuel Quickley and Deuce McBride back during this 3 games in 4 nights span.

Let's GO NY GO NY GOOOOO!

Time to finally turn this season around!

I agree and we were 16-17 last year (15-18 this year) after 33 games.

And the Knicks last year were only 25-27 after 52 games last year.

And then they went on a 9 game winning streak and after losing our 10th game @ 34-28? We ended the season 7-3.

It wasn't until game #52-53 where the Knicks got RED HOT because we were 2 games below .500 heading into our 53rd game.

2021-2022's regular season has SO MUCH MORE POTENTIAL than last years season.

And it all starts during this 3 game road trip starting tomorrow @ Minnesota. Go 3-0, get back to .500 and the sky becomes the limit for this Knicks team (moving forward, standings wise).

they beat the Celtics last night 108-103. That can be a good thing for us or a bad- especially how they came back from a big deficit - and we know one of our MOs is giving up a big lead late.

Knicks roll into town to take on Greg Monroe and his big butt?

I can't find anything on Immanuel Quickley, but according go-to source (NBA RotoWire)...

Deuce McBride is listed as a GAME TIME DECISION!

Would not be the least surprised if we lost this one coming off hitting 20 threes and Randle playing like 20-21 Randle on Christmas. Almost expecting a lazy unmotivated Randle leading a lazy team that will overlook these depleted Wolves team. These same Wolves just beat the Celtics last night btw and some guys named Jaylen Nowell had 29 on 6/9 from three and Nathan Knight had 20 and 11.

I just do not trust this years team. Hope I'm wrong tonight.

Phil Jackson wanted to sign him and Evan Turner so bad.

I believe you are very wrong.

Did you trust last years team while two games below. 500 @ 25-27 after 52 games?

This 2021-2022 team is going to be WELL over .500 by game #52 (let alone two games below. 500 like last years team after 52 games).

I honestly prefer them at full strength. I think there is a much better chance we actually come to play with energy now.

No, I honestly did not see last season happening. But last season has nothing to do with this season. It's a different team, different style of play, different identity and most importantly, no Derrick Rose trade that was the catalyst for the turnaround last season imo.

I really hope I'm wrong and we do turn it around like last season but I need to see a string of games where we defend like last season, Randle plays like last season, RJ shoots the three like last season, Noel anchors the defense like last season and someone sparks the team like Rose did last season. Christmas was a GREAT game where we saw some of those things (minus Noel but Rob did a great job) but it's just one game. I wanna see 10-15 games where they play like that.

KPs been in the league how long? Still hasn't even come close to closing the booty gap with Greg. Phil was right

Philc1 @ 12/28/2021 1:11 PM
Remember when Greg Monroe wouldn’t sign with the Knicks despite Phil offering him big money because he was too good for us? Fun times

Where are you seeing this at?

If everyone was playing for Minnesota? The Knicks would not be favored by -4.5 points (while on the road).

Both Karl Anthony-Towns and Anthony Edwards have officially been ruled out tonight (see below).
