He’s been the MVP of this team. Just as long as he comes off the bench. He always seems to take over when no one else wants to. He, Quickley and a healthy Rose lead the best bench in the league. Eventually the Knicks will need to make some real upgrades to the starting lineup in order to contend against the best, but the second unit can at least make things happen enough to win games. Burks has carried over his 4th quarter dominance from last year and some.
Burks is clutch more times than not.

Thibs tried to give this game away in the 3rd. Being loyal and stubborn to players who don't deserve it with their lack of passion, play, and heart. He just refused to make a change and watched the deficit grow then balloon, but the Bench refused to lose this game.
They say Burks is like Kobe Bryant 25% of the time. 1 out of 4 games he’ll blow your mind and you’ll be like damn! The other 3/4 of the time he’s just a good rotation player/spot starter.
Burks win us at least 3-4 games a season with 4th quarters like tonight.

Lol. I remember announcers talking about him like that when he was with the Warriors and Philly. The guy would be a max player if he brought the AAA game every night.
Oddly the Knicks signed him for 3yr/$30m. Basically 1/4 a max player :)
