we are building around Sims because Mitch isnt a long term solution... remember?

If we don’t lock up Mitch long term OMFG
KJ is a nice little player, but you'd want to play him over Obi and give up a decent prospect in Jericho? Not really worth it right now.

I like Sims but you must give to receive. I like KJ for our team. He can play 2-3-4 and he’s a better 3 point shooter abs defender than obi.

You think a one dimensional center who can't do anything but dunk is a must that we resign him.
He's not even a great fit next to randle
I remember people was hell bent that we resign Noel and look him now.

KJ is a 6'6" wing who plays like a bull that would be considered a SF who could possibly play some PF minutes in a super small ball lineup. Comparing him to Obi make zero sense.
Taj looks like he is on his last legs this year. Mitch or Noel may be moved.
I like Jericho as a backup C and I think you forgot about him cause he hasn't played much.
Also, with RJ, Grimes, Burks, Fournier where do you think KJ will get minutes? Doesn't make sense.

Yeah, but I feel you can pick up a KJ Martin type of player off the scrap heap. Not sure if give up assets for him right now. Also, I'd rather keep playing Obi and Sims in the event they move Mitch.

We have 3 more draft picks coming up. I’m interested in some more well rounded prospects.I like KJ martin I think he’s a guy who can be a good player for a good team.
I don't think these type of small trades make much sense unless we're acquiring some PG or Center help. Plus I'd like to see more from Sims, who's done a nice job when given the opportunity and we need another C on the roster with Rob and Noel being injury prone.

That's nice and all but addresses zero of what I responded to
The simplest trade possibilities right now are Noel, Obi and picks for Turner, or Burks, Obi and picks for J grant.

I am hoping the Knicks are working on a three team trade. Basically pay for Grant to send him to another team. We’re hearing that the Kings are open to Haliburton trade scenarios. He is overrated, but as a role playing PG he might be exactly what the Knicks need long term. I think they would be willing to move him for Jerian Grant to pair him with Fox. It would give them a really talented duo.

You know what trade I'd go for?
JGrant, Saddiq Bey for Randle, Burks, etc. No idea what that "etc" would be, also the salaries don't really match but it's more the idea I'm going for.
Maybe it's a hint of a step back in top line talent - Randle is more valuable and overall better - but I think it gets you 2 guys who are more role players who are defenders and ball movers and fills the SF/PF spots better. Cleans room for others to step up in Randle's absence.
Detroit gets a guy they can temporarily build around and offensive focal point to help Cade and the other young guys.

Definitely down to be third team to help facilitate Grant going to another team. Grants best position is PF, so it doesn't make sense to pair him with Randle.
Would love to figure out a way to get Haliburton...he would automatically become our best passer, ball mover and one of our best 3 pt shooters.
Can the knicks trade Randle and walker plus 1-2 1st round picks for Fox? Can the knicks get Turner for mitch and Evan plus 1-2 1st round picks. Reports have surfaced that the knicks are interested in Cam Reddish, what can the knicks offer that will make the hawks bite?
If they can get these player will this starting five be any good?
Turner
Obi
Cam
RJ
Fox
Bench
Noel
Taj
Grimes
IQ
Rose
I think they can be interesting to watch. What realistic trade can work for these 3 players (Fox, Turner and Reddish)

I’m not ready to give up on Randle. I believe there’s a middle ground between what we had last year and what we are seeing right now from him. I like Grant and Bey though.

I think Haliburton is being brought up as a chip for Simmons. I was a huge advocate of him prior to that draft. I loved the fit next to barrett. But at this point I’d make a hard push for Fox over Haliburton. I don’t think the price would be that much higher. Seems like the kings love both Haliburton and Mitchell, and Fox isn’t being prioritized there the same way.
And here I thought this was a stealth Christian Wood thread...
