Knicks · Relax… (page 1)

I think I’m gonna take this advice as well. After all, it’s just a game.

Besides, I need to save up my energy to yell and curse tomorrow night when we play the Clippers.

Also, we should keep Mitch if he’s going to be this entertaining during press conferences.

OMG that was so good, I love Mitch

Mitch showing leadership

He’s a very interesting dude. I was surprised when I first talked to him and his interest outside of basketball was different from most young dudes. He’s much more mature now and I also hope we keep him. Nice response by Mitch. I think he’s just realizing how good he can be. Maybe he can model his game after Rudy gobert who also doesn’t shoot 3s but has a long promising career ahead of him. Money Mitch

This is great, I think its funny.

But I also miss old school basketball where after a loss like this 1/2 way through the season the Knick players would be fuming. I mean, this is a 4 game homestand where they dropped 3 in a row. Its embarrassing. They need to come out and tear the head off of this Clippers team. lol.

And honestly, I don't know if I want Mitch back. In the end this will mostly be a business and basketball decision. And when you compare what he brings to the court as a player vs. what he will most likely cost in a long term contract, I would consider sticking with guys like Noel and Gibson, developing Sims and adding someone in the draft or via FA. I also think we pretty have seen his ceiling as a player. He might improve on his numbers here a there, but he's not going to be much of a producer on offense, you will never be able to have him create his own shot or score with a post up dribble. So he's not going to reach the level of Gobert, who can at least do that. I think if you want to make an apt comparison, his ceiling is DeAndre Jordan.

Perhaps one thing we can agree on is that everyone hates Berman.

He is a shit stirrer and fans love it. Many here blend it into the narrative. How do I know? Because none of us know what the players/FO are thinking unless its a direct quote.

I don’t hate berman. If not him, then another. Its like Fox news. All thought the ignorance would stop when O’neill left? NOpe, they bring in Tucker who goes even further. The audience is set.
Berman has an audiance that lap up nonsense and rumors. Blogs make up all kinds of stuff. “A source close to the team”, or “A West coast executive says:”
They pop up and we start to believe SAC is interested in a “Fox for Randle” trade. Its easy, change is what we want but not trading one issue for another. Thats the reality.
Shit stirring will promote trades, then when it happens, shit on it. Fans want a trade, but ones they agree on. those open concept ones. “Knicks need a major trade/star”. We don’t consider what goes out the door then we lean on “we suck at drafts, so lets move picks”………. All open concepts.

Berman relax? Only if he is taking part in his favorite activity. Which is the only thing he truly knows anything about.....

knicks1248 @ 1/23/2022 12:43 PM
That was funny

But I'm going to need Mitch to RELAX take your time and Hit a Jump shot, Relax take a deep breath and HIT your FT's

Then we all could RELAX

For the record, I don't hate anyone. Berman and a lot of the media annoy me. Here we throw words like "hate" around in the spirit of hyperbole. I see this forum as like a sober (mostly) barstool where we off the cuff one another and see what happens next.

As far as Mitch's temperament here -- I'm thinking of some personalities in Yankees lore. On the one hand you have you Billy Martin/Lou Pinella types. You lose a bad one, hit a losing streak, you turn over the spread or take a bat to a clubhouse toilet (all of which gets cleaned up by a little guy but I digress). On the other hand you have Joe Torre/Derek Jeter mindset -- slow and steady wins the race. My feeling is it really has to do with the players on the field/court.

Thats your agenda. Mitch improve play after your stance makes you look no so good. Mitch is doing so much better as his endurance improved. He had a broken foot, was not loafing off season.
