James Harden being traded to the Brooklyn Nets last January was supposed to set up several years of dominance with three big stars in the lead. Instead, the triumvirate might crumble before it ever really got off the ground.
According to Jake Fischer at Bleacher Report, Harden might be ready to move on from the Nets once the season is over.
Harden remains invested in competing for the title in Brooklyn this season, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation. But Harden has recently informed several confidants —including former teammates and coaches — of his interest in exploring other opportunities outside of Brooklyn this summer, league sources told B/R.
Harden is still reportedly invested in winning a title with the Nets. It's not known if Harden would stay around in Brooklyn if that actually happened this year.
Harden is reportedly unhappy in Brooklyn
There are several reasons Harden might want to leave Brooklyn, according to Fischer. He's reportedly "disappointed" with head coach Steve Nash's late-game strategies, and frustrated by teammate Kyrie Irving only playing part time due to his refusal to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Harden is probably the best ISO player I have ever watched in my 40 years of watching NBA ball. That said I hate his style of play, he offers little to nothing defensively and doesn't seem like a team-focused player. Thibs and the team culture in development would not work well with him. If the Nets offered him straight for Randle I'd have to consider just because of his value (they wouldn't by the way).
Pipe dream but who knows. Harden knows he isn’t winning with the nets and Kyrie’s anti-vaxx nonsense must be driving him crazy. Expectations with the Knicks wouldn’t be as high basically make the playoffs and make a run and he’s a god here. Nets aren’t going to want to lose him for nothing.
True - they probably wouldn't want Randle but our young players (Grimes, Toppin, IQ, RJ) and picks.
A trade like this would feel like it's been 10 years since Melo shaved...
Yes, that's what we need. And iso scorer defensively invisible traffic cone who's getting rule changes made just to stop his neverending trips to the FT line...
Imagine Thibs, our defensive psychopath, just trying to coach this guy...
We need a thread that summarizes all these disgusting big name trade ideas.. the Starphuque Deluxe Thread!!!:
John Great Wall of China
Russell Wilson Spalding WestKeepHimOutOfBrooklyn
Hardenly ever plays D
PerSimmons
Kyrie Dr. No Irving
Kevin Love Those 3's
The Nets can keep their super friends and their drama. No thanks.
How many Championships has James Harden ever led his team(s) to?

You could ask the same question of everyone on the Knicks roster. Harden has shown he can consistently carry a team to the playoffs. Which is more the point the Knicks are at. BTW, I'm not saying the Knicks should trade for Harden. Just sayin' you show black Santa some respect.
Like him or not he’s the most reliable of the 3. And since thibs is ok with iso play, harden is the best they come. I rather watch iso harden than iso Randle. Don’t ask me how we get or what we will give up. I’m just comparing the best iso player and a wanna be iso Randle.

The same number Barkley, Ewing and Stockton and Malone have combined
