Knicks · No surprise here: Randle may be made available by the deadline! But will bite? ... I wouldn't.😟 (page 8)

I’m not sure about that. We want the Julius we saw last night. High percentage shots playing harder rebounding. Fadeaways threes and over isolation won’t work. He’s a big enough dude to get his kind of shot by getting good position. He’s much better inside the line. Hey take a three if you’re wide open but let’s get good shots run the floor move the ball and stay in front of yiur man. Really he should be 18-9 50%

You want a star? Me too. He is barley a top 50 paid player this year and its not going that much higher.
Next year he makes 10% more. So will others. He is not a major star nor paid like one.
RJ will make more.
He is not the superstar we are building around. He is not cock blocking us from getting one.
He just needs to play a bit better and his contract is just fine to be moved if we get an opportunity.
No need to dump him. There is a growth issue, a role change, perhaps percieved role change, and chemistry with others.

BTW. Fox from Sac makes more. Alot more. IM not expert on him but he is not shooting well and his team sucks. Is it his fault? The coach? Too many changes? I’d be asking questions rather than promoting wholesale change because change is not always better.

I don’t have the answers, but I know yelling at the screen what “Randle gotta do this, randle gotta do that”, or thinking OBI is the cure is naive. I love OBI! I Salute the job Thibs and staff have done this year with him! We should credit knicks for this!!
Im not against trding Randle, but im not naive. My take is if we do the more fans like it the worse it would be. IF we don’t, perhaps in time it works. Why? Majority usually gets it wrong.
Including us.

Maybe Randle isn’t blocking us from getting a star but his Rolodex isn’t as deep as Lebron’s. We had all that cap space and we recruited Evan Fournier and Kemba fell into our lap. So where is Randle in recruiting his bro’s for our club? The line of players trying to here to team up with Randle is pretty short. That is if short means non existent.

We back to that wish upon a starphuch star of Melo and his CAA agents and the whole World Wide Wes gonna save the day fantasy?

all that Cap space? Kemba was 9 mil, Fornier 18mil, Burks was 8mm. You wanted Lonzo and Drozen? Ok, we playing the lamenting feel sorry in hindsight after 50 games and pretend we had Vooch, and Lavine?
Kemba, EF and Burks contacts are not issues. You reading anyone but fans saying its an albatross contract?
Just Bing Bongers who live in a knick vacuum.

We gonna pretend RJ, all 21 years old is not happening? Remember when we had no yoot? Now we have too much?
what if we went after Derozon who had LA as his first choice, and then he dicked around a few days and we missed on Fornier? Then what? Team would be in First place? Lonzo can’t shoot.
Did we sign Randle to a max deal? Not even close.

don’t forget, nobody besides fans called for better than .500.

Him attacking off the catch was amazing. Since his 3pter is not going down this year use that body to bully people to the rim.

This should be Randle every night. He could average 17 and 8 with his eyes closed in like 25 minutes per if he wanted.

I am ok with that also. He just can’t be acting toxic like he has the last few weeks. If they could

1) move enough money to have a chance at legit chance at Brunson or Afnernee
2) try and get another 1st rounder to use in a trade or in the draft

I would be ok with this going forward.

The worst thing they could do is try and chase the play in. This isn’t ideal though because I would really like to grab that Kings draft pick. The Knicks youth is actually pretty impressive.

Dude, what are you even on about? I think you wishing you had a Starbucks instead of a starphuck. You could have stopped at Melo’s Rolodex. You hear all the time about players who recruit other players. Players that want to team up together and then do so as FA’s. Is it wrong to ask if Randle has anyone (read anyone) again that’s not really a Starbucks to ask if Randle has anyone…..I said anyone again….who wants to team up and play with him. Where the Randle bros at?

I don’t blame Melo for the lack of FA even if he tried.
We missed Durant/Kyrie because we were not deep to support them. (Nets made playoffs with Lavert/Harris/Dinwiddie/Allen) and now we are getting the depth to matter.

Im not saying we hold still. Im saying Randle is not the problem he is being portrayed at.

To me, his sulking attitude, lack of effort and disrespect to his teammates and his coach are a problem, but that’s not what we are talking about here. Yes he has gone all Pascal Siakam this year trying to live up to his contract and could bounce back next year, but is even MIP all star Randle someone anyone wants to play with? Not saying where are our superfriends, but how about just a robin to his Batman? Is Elf and Bullock the only names in the Rolodex? Problem is Randle isn’t really a number 1, he is just one in his own head. Can’t he just even embrace the guys who are still here and stop being a crying baby cuz it looks bad. I think he gets moved, he’s like a dark cloud over this team and is sucking the joy out of the game. This is now RJ’s team

Randle doesn't deserve all the blame as this team has a number of issues.

Yes the team has alot of issues but there are time on the court Randle seems out of it, he shutdowns. Whats with him not participating in the huddle talking to his family, happened multiple times. And the stunt he pulled when obi was knocked down, he just walked away. As the leader of the team, he is should be a better example for the young kids

And never ever look at all the good he did prior.
I won’t argue his salty bad looks are not helping but how has he been the last few games?
I thought he played well last night vs. Memphis. He was frustrated and was trying. The turnovers critial was on IQ. Playing PG in this league is not easy and crunch time matters. Its done, chaulk it as a learning experirnce in development. He is a sniper.
