Let's go back to the cycle of bringing in over-paid, oft-injured washed up former stars. It worked throughout the 2000's. Why not now?

SMDH.

Unfortunately in the midst of a struggle, the bing bong fans cannot see beyond the prison bars of the miserable moment. They need that sugar. Gasbag media will be feeding the empty calories to them. These are the loudest voices -- so far the FO has been ignoring them. Hope that maintains.

It’s interesting. Wall has one year left on his deal after this year. Getting off of Fournier in year three and opening up more playing time for young player and balancing out the rotation is why you make this move.

Not because John Wall is going to be a savior

Or we could stay the course, continue to get drilled playing Kemba and Fournier.

Randle is quickly becoming another untradeabld contract. He’s acting like a child and destroying the team.

Julius Randle over his last 10 games:

14.8 PPG
38.4% FG
25.6% 3PT

Let that sink in, after the pretend tough guy shut the fuck routine.

Make a move or Julius becomes unmoved able and one of the worst contracts in the league.

Cmon, John Wall has the worst contract in NBA history. It's so bad it actually has made it a 29 team league since the extension started. There's no way to field a competitive team when 50 million in cap space is tied up in a below replacement level player. Trading for Wall was writing on the "wall" that Houston was no longer interested in fielding a competitive team.

So what's the angle here? Do you think Wall can help the team? Why trade for him now when we can't tank to a top pick? If this is just a way to open up our cap sheet, why not trade for Westbrook who can at least still have an occasional 30/10/10 game?

What about
Fournier, Walker, Noel, and Burks
For Wall?

That works in the trade checker. Not a good trade but Burks is the only name I’d miss, and I want to see Reddish play

Burks, Fournier and Kemba for either Wall or Westbrook would be that consolidation move that locks reddish and Grimes into the rotation.

C Mitch F Randle F Barrett G Grimes G Wall/westbrook

C Noel F Toppin F Reddish G Quickley G Rose

Why does tanking Houston want to potentially get better?
You want to tank the franchise for a season and a half to get out of the last season of Fournier's contract?

The only reason to do John wall is the Rockets is sending us good draft capitol. 2 first rounders unprotected at a minimum or 1 first rounder and one of their good young players that isn’t fake good like THT on the lakers, but legitimately good like Kevin Porter jr.

Also the pick have to convey either in 2022 or 2023.

A team that has sat vet John Wall to give time to develop their young kids are going to trade for lots of vets just to sit them too?

Also, you can't just do 4 for 1 trade because of roster spots. In which case you also have to add more salary on top of Wall's and try to make it work and it won't.

Can we just shut this down and ostracize the OP to live with Isiah Thomas?
