I really do miss this Randle.

Just want him back

I don't get how he can say this in interviews yesterday with a straight face:

“Same thing, man. I’m going to stick to my guns. I’m going to stick to who I am as a person,” Randle said. “That’s coming in, working every day, trying to be an infectious leader with my spirit and my energy and just try to be positive.”

I don't get it- its he oblivious to how he is on the court this year?

Elfrid Payton had exactly the same on court presence last year as Randle does this year- especially towards the end, remember he'd just kind of drift about and would stay seated while everyone else was in a coaches huddle.

Good call on the elf comparison. The body language, going through the motions during live action and the disengagement and detachment during timeouts is alarming and very similar. It was during the final few games of the regular season for elf, like he knew it was the end of his run here and he had mentally checked out. Maybe the FO has communicated to Randle through his agent or directly that several frameworks for a deal are in place and he's a goner in a week or 2? Or maybe he and his agent have requested a trade before the deadline.

Randle is an emotional dude and its hard for him to fake the funk. He is checked out for reason...

Yep I’ve been thinking that as well the way he is acting this can’t last until the summer let alone a multi year contract. Then you hear some rumors and it sounds like his time in NY is done. Even 3 days ago I was advocating to not move him but it’s pretty clear he wants out himself.
