Knicks win tonight with a healthy drose. Knicks just need a decent Pg. Kemba is beyond cooked. They play 4 on 5 when he’s out there.

With a real and good defensive PG, Fournier wouldn't be so bad as long as he keeps draining 3s and attacking the basket. Kemba deserves NO minutes. Rather see anyone at PG, even RJ. A winnable game tossed away, it is only going to get worse with this west coast trip. Terrible coaching by Thibs.

They make all of the small hustle plays. If we would have started with the energy we finished with we would have had a chance. How can we lose every 1st Q and expect different results
Everyone on Memphis plays hard.
Team is going to be real tough to beat. Zaire is looking better and better too
Mitch has been playing great

Does it have to be tonight?
I've yet to ever see Evan Fournier make a Defensive stop. Ever. When's EF going to develop into a Defensive All Star X-Factor?
Kemba and EF ruined our #1 D of last year. They destroyed us and destroyed Julius Randle too.
Lol, you need to start charging that man rent if he's going to be living in your head like that. Nothing to do with the post, but yes, excellent point, we were misled when we expected Fournier to be our "Defensive All Star"!!!

Kemba looks like he’s in pain just walking up and down the court. Trade for Westbrook already
I am in a weird position where I like Burks but I don't like him as a PG. So are we going to have to trade him to save Thibs from himself? So many things clearly don't work on the team but we just keep forcing it.

We are ruining Burks with the full time pg role. Agreed.

Yes, the talk game is good but back it up with some play when it matters.
When will Evan Fournier back up his MONSTER contract with All-Star level D?
Somebody on this team needs to step up. Oh wait, it’s our youth stepping up. Train is leaving the station for the vets
Losing is simple when your coach is stubborn and refuses to learn.
Randle was lazy on D most of the night, 3pt shots atrocious, and his continued attitude. Looked like he slapped a fan's hand away when he technical out. -9
Obi was not used enough.
Noel a huge waste of 16 minutes ZERO pts -15.
Burks another huge waste of 13 minutes ZERO pts -17.
Walker waste of space for 17 minutes ZERO pts 2 assists.
RJ, Mitch, Evan 67% from 3, Quickley, and Grimes came to play, I guess Randle's losing #s look good on paper.
Outhustled, they had 14 more shots than the Knicks.
Pathetic results this year after getting back to 500. A trade and/or coach firing better happen tomorrow! This is some Joe Judge coaching this year.
When Barrett was taking the ball to the hoop, the Knicks were on the way to an early comeback in the 3rd. They couldn’t stop him. Then they decided to pound it to Julius instead. Barrett taking it to the hoop stopped. He missed a couple of 3s. That took the air out even though we hit a couple of shots.
I am still scratching my head on this one.
As a matter of fact, Thibs was asked exactly that by ESPN in the middle of the game. How do you get Barrett more shots? He didn’t even answer it. He said we’ll get stops then get easy looks. That answer basically revealed that they aren’t looking to give him looks because it’s the Julius show. Way too much loyalty.
Good try. Moral victory I guess. Not a lot of complaints but giving up 120 at home is bad but Memphis is just out of our weight class and we hung in with them. You live with Zaire Williams making jumpers. Sucks it happens to us it seems every other game where the other teams worst perimeter shooter just has it against us. They also got all the loose balls and bounces. Good teams just find a way.
Weird how our starters minus Kemba all played well and the bench did not except for IQ early in the 4th with those two baskets that cut it to 5. No complaints about Randle. He brought it an honest effort. He hustled and played hard and almost finished with a triple double. That is all you can ask for lately. Don't care anymore about his techs or shooting. It is what it is. But honestly hoping it's the last time we see him in a Knicks uni at MSG. It's just time for a divorce. Don't see this getting better.
RJ did a good job on Morant. So did Grimes. Morant missed 12 straight at one point. Fournier shot the ball well. Rob was a monster on both ends and shutdown Morant for the majority of the second half. Should be interesting to see if he's traded the next few days.
I think I've entered that place as a fan where losses are starting to bother me less and less. I've recognized it's a lost season and it's just not a good team. It's silly to get mad at a bad team losing games. I know we were just one game better at this same point last season but with this brutal road trip coming up and what we've seen so far, I think it's about to get really ugly. Personally for my sanity and mental health I'm just gonna try to view the rest of the season as an evaluation of RJ, Grimes, Obi, IQ and hopefully Deuce and Reddish.

Maybe we need a better guy in the film room. Stevie Wonder is scratching his head in disbelief
The thing that bothered me most was how they kept jumping passing lanes and how we never made them pay for their over aggressive D. I mean one pass fake and…..

that's cold man but spot on
EF was not the problem tonight.
In fact I thought a lot of our guys played well
Memphis had a mediocre start to the season and now is playing great. They play hard, fast and confident
As some noted they might be too aggressive but we didn’t exploit that and I think they’re one of those teams you need to decide who you’re going to try and slow down because you won’t stop everyone.
They might be peaking too soon but no one wants to play them

Foutnier's performance reminds me of H20, at the end of each game you watch you wonder how did Houston score 24 pts.
Truth be said, MitchRob Randle and Barrett should've been setting screens for Fournier & Kemba's perimeter shooting by now. We signed Fournier for his quick release shooting, not defense. Someone need to watch the defense of the Knicks most minute players.
