The trade deadline is just days away and all seems quite in the knicks front apart from some media rumors. Tanking the season doesnt seem to be an option this year with a weak draft class. What move will the FO make that will make you take a step back for the rest of the season?
Any trade for an over the hill vet that takes minutes and shots away from RJ and the kids.

I would be fine with the right vet and also something that frees up MORE time for the kids. This offseason I really wanted to add another impact player even if it wasnt that sexy... I like Norm Powel, Derozan and Conley to name a few. The point was to add a guy who helps you win then fill out the roster with prospects and rely on IQ/McBride/Grimes/Obi/Sims/Reddish(Knox) to fight for the remaining (and significant) chunk of minutes. Instead we added guys like Burks/Fournier/Noel who are all fine but dont get us closer to a chip and dont help us develop the young players that will get us closer to a chip
Remember a lot of people HATED the Rose trade last year.. how is this guy gonna help us?
I like CJ... he would be our best scorer and he's a great guy. Portland would want some youth/draft compensation. He's worth more than a salary dump so not sure what that would look like
I will be disappointed if we don't get rid some of these vets ......
Would be disappointed if we did make a trade that didn't aim to land us a PG (eg cap clearing trade for run at Brunson in offseason ok)
Would be somewhat disappointed if we traded Obi or Mitch until we had a pass first PG as think it could do wonders for both of them
Standing pat may wind up being the safest/smartest play, depending on how the market shapes up. But I would be disappointed if we kept the status quo. Rose's return just doesn't seem like enough...
Doesn't thibs play the kids? All but McBride and simms are getting run.
We pseudo tanking? I mean we are letting RJ be no. 1 option frequently and losing.
Like Thibs is doing whats best and if we win, we win. If not, he gonna keep playing yoot. No, its not like he just handed the keys to the kids.
Games are rarely blow outs. Team is not tuning him out (yet?)
I'd be disappointed in a Randle for Fox trade.
THIS FO ain't making no blockbuster deal to acquire anyone.
Thibs is to hung up on continuity (good or bad) Perry is to conservative to add on any salary, and Leon and Wes are playing Golf in on some remote ISLAND
LBJ could ask to be traded to the knicks and this FO would offer a protected first round pick Mcbride/Kemba.
I thought we had a real shot at CJ..smh
we really should be sellers at the deadline- if we can clear a vet or salary, look to do it.
As much as I love Burks, if there is interest and you can get a draft or something similar, that might be the most we can expect.
Maybe we should trade Mitchell Robinson to NO for Zion.
Worst thing the Knicks could possibly do IMO is trade for Eric Gordon.
If Mitch Robinson can stay healthy and continue on this path----I DO NOT want to trade him. While I dont love non offensive 5s hes a difference maker in the NBA. Difference maker is what you want to keep/acquire.
If we can simply remove one of Burcks Walker Noel Fournier Im good. The ENTIRE free agency was an absolute disastrous bust. Cant happen again.

I meant Eric Bledsoe, but I don't really want either.
i'd like to see the knicks trade burks and let grimes get all of his minutes, and play mcbride. also trade noel and let sims play

Didn't we do that already under fizdale and JH
how about mitch and kemba for d'andre ayton?
Anything and/or anyone for Ben Simmons.

That would be disappointing for you?
Julius unfollows Knicks on Instagram. Seems mature

Can't see inseason trade for Ayton but seems PHX is making a chip run t his year with him. perhaps one can be done after the season?
I dont want the knicks to make any medium size trade or bigger commiting the team to a 30+ year old talent just to show the league the front office can make moves. I dont want Noel, Burks, Walker and Fournier to all be with the team after the deadline.
I would be ok if all those players get traded even if no pg help coming just start DRose after the Allstar break and let Deuce back him up. I hope the FO wont get cute and make deals for the sake of getting something done.
A trade not involving M. Robinson would be disappointing.
If the Knicks aren't planning on resigning Mitchell Robinson (which they shouldn't)he needs to be traded.
