Honestly, for those of you bummed about our inaction at the deadline, just pretend the Knicks trade for Cam Reddish happened then instead of the fortnight before.
I forgot to say I was very impressed with Cam's passing last night. That was an aspect of his game I did not expect. I was told he was pretty much a black hole in ATL.

Look who is above 40% from 3 for the year.

I’ll be a fan when he starts busting his ass on defense.

I think I’d like him better if he had a big curly fro and wore a headband

I suppose if said fro was big enough it could enhance his defense.
Although too big, and it could affect his shot.
It’s a tough decision.
Truth be said .. the Knicks played a much-much better game without RJ Barrett in the rotation.
The Knicks outscored the GSW in the first-quarter (33-28) and also in the 3rd quarter (31-20), those are the 2 main quarters the Knicks have been getting outscored on throughout the season to have 31 losses in 55 games. Plus the Knicks did not crawl under the bus or panic at crunch time last night, they played like winners fouling Curry, and ready for overtime if Klay hit the shot.
The Knicks should've traded RJ Barrett for Cam Reddish hustle/defense, and kept the first round pick to have something to improve the Knicks future.
Barrett has been the problem in the starter lineup since the team-meeting and Marcus Morris Sr. called Barrett out.
This will be my 3rd season saying, "RJ Barrett is not a NBA starter, nor an above 30 minute a game player." !!!

LOL It's just in my blood I guess. I've been watching this team since I was a little kid. Knicks are very important in my life. I live and die with them in a weird way. But yeah, at almost 40 I need to do a better job of taking a step back and not get crazy. It is what it is.
Same here. 36 years old. The 1990s we made the playoffs every single season and made the Finals 2x. We shouldn't have to apologize to no one for deeply missing those NYK days. Sports keeps me young @ heart but between the Knicks/Jets it's hard to remain hopeful as a sports fan.

Franco please create the next Knicks GAMEDAY thread and ride your GSW momentum.
Because both martin and myself unfortunately haven't been doing too swift this year 😆

Wow - you really believe this? 2 games ago he almost single-handedly brought us to a win vs Lakers while guarding Lebron and now we play one good game without him and he's a bum? While it remains to be seen if he will just be a solid player or turn into something better - suggesting he would have been a better trade option vs Knox and Charlotte's pick is pretty bold...

Like when guys bust out the defense requirement on guys that were never expected to play defense.
The Knicks needed 3pt shooting. They signed EF. He is doing his job.
Unless you thought he was brought on here for his defensive reputation he showed throughout his career?

I expect him to play defense.
I don’t expect him to be great, but I expect him to bust his ass.

By no means am I advocating for his defensive prowess.
Just pointing out that he is doing what he was brought here to do and fans seem to not give him credit for that.
We can always add Mitch not shooting from three, Kemba not blocking shots, etc. But that would banter fueled by unrealistic expectations.
