I see Georgetown is 0-13 in the Big East. What's going on with the Big Fella and his team? I know this could have gone in the college thread, but Patrick is one of our own.

Something happened where recruits kind of bailed on him last year. They are better than 0-13. Probably his last year— I can’t see any justification keeping him even though he’s Patrick. Could use him as knicks assistant.
Wasn't there a story a while back where Patrick stated he was done with the assistant coach thing? Something about him being miffed that Mark Jax got a NBA head coaching gig and he didn't.
I live in Maryland about 45 minutes from the campus and last month people started about firing him. Pat has had problems retaining his players and not just guys waiving the towels at the end of the bench. There is also this perception that he isn't recruiting low level guys that you kind of need when you're rebuilding a program... lastly I heard on AM radio a host begging them to fire Pat and replace him with AI. He was like if it works with Deion, let's try it with AI, because the kids have no idea who Pat is

I think after Georgetown he’ll never get that chance. Bob mCcado was a good assistant for the heat—I’m sure Patrick would like to stay involved on that level. He could also use his clout to get a low level div 1 school. But head coach major CBB or nba he has no chance

Did you hear it on the sports junkies? I heard them rambling about Pat this morning.
Actually watching Georgetown for the first time this year. Mutumbo's son moves just like him, a lil smaller slower version Dekiembe.

How does he fit in this group besides “he is Pat?”. Big man coach? Just because he was great in a different era mean he can teach it.
This how we do it now? Charity hire?

UConn loaded with good athletic smart players. Mutumbo will be good

Mutumbo looks like a project center at the next level. He plays back to the basket so don't see it.

I don’t want him anywhere near our coaching staff. Herb Williams is a young Pat Riley in comparison

630 (I believe) or 980... I think 106.7 has some of the best sports talk slots in the DMV however I just really can't stand some of the others... curious how you see sports talk in the area? I'll be honest, I wish it sports talk was a lot better here than it is

Rockville, you?
Sorry for the late reply. I’m in North Laurel (30 mins away from you) right now for the past 2 years. But also lived in Elkridge and Columbia. I believe my gym is in that area. Same gym where all the athletes go. I think Columbia gym is more popular. But I see local cats all the time.
Nice……glad to see there are real knick fans close by. Repin NY from MD. We should have a MD Knicks meet up in the future.
