Knicks · Would you draft Bronny James to get Lebron in 2024? (page 2)

I'm looking at the LeBron piece as extra baggage.

Best case scenario - Bronny is a solid prospect and LeBron not gassed yet...

If you're not ready to start Bronny, LeBron makes a fuss.
Bronny not featured enough in the offense, LeBron makes a fuss.
Both Bronny and LeBron in your SL, you're watching a two-man game.
Team struggles in that first year, Coach/rest of team thrown under the bus.

Bronny would need to be really fucking good if you're going to endure that.

F that, have we really sunk that low?

Oh, for sure we have gone lower that that!
I would not sweat it. Bronny has a way to go before any of that.
Father-Son in the NBA. Im rooting for it. I think its cool.
Lebron has to stay healthy and the hard part is Bonny to be worthy of making a roster.

Is Bronny any good?

I can only hope this thread ages as well as the "Frankie haters can suck it" thread.

Father and Son running flopping drills during training camp, LeQ running tape review sessions on how to stalk off the court before the game is over, and LeGM finding friends of Bronny to sign/draft. Gotta root for that!

If he can play sure. I don’t see the big deal. The goal is to add players that makes the team better, regardless of father son, brother or cousin relationships. But they would do wonders for a small market team. I believe this would be the first time in the nba, to have a father son combo. Lebron will be above average at 40 so it’s going to happen.

Shane Larkin/Scott Machado range.

What will translate are his fundamentals. He is a very technically sound player. Non elite athlete. Doesn't have the insane first step needed to be a smaller player and carve a heavy role in the NBA. He might grow and that would make a huge difference. Lots of guys in his position are already taking PEDs. If he is and does and this is all the burn he has, then his ceiling is as a 4th guard in the league based on his last name. If he hasn't yet, then maybe there is a some more wiggle room with his ceiling.

He's a decent defender at his level. But his current size and scaling up to higher competition, odds are he'll get cooked at the NBA tier. He needs a plus range three point shot to help himself on offense.

The larger problem with Bronny James is LBJ will want to play with him one year and then try to push his way into a GM role with the Knicks. And Dolan likes "brand name" heads of the front office.

It's more likely Cleveland than New York. And I'm OK with that. Let LBJ fucked up the Cavs again and leave the Knicks out of it.

My dreams NY dreams of LeBron died in 2010.

And you expect for me to dream of him 14-15 years later come 2024?

Get out of town.

Heck no.

Giannis never publicly said he was going to play with him
