that would be my two knick targets. One PG one very under rated diverse C.
C-wood
F Randle
F Barret
G Reddish or Formier
PG Brogdon
Sign and trade Mitch to houston part of deal.
The Wood threads return! All is not lost Knicks fans!!!!
we've given up on kaminsky?!?
Must have had a good game last night?
Brogdon good player. Bit over paid and injury concern?
Completely agree. Particularly about Brogdon. Injuries aside, he is a very solid option. Like Brunson, he would bring a completely different skill set to this team. I want one of those guys (or Gilgeous-Alexander as a pie in the sky option) as starting PG with Rose healthy. Nice thing about Brogdon is he can slide to the SG next to Rose. A finishing group of Rose, Brogdon, Barrett, Randle and a center can win games in the 4th quarter, which is this teams issue. A team with Randle and Barrett as the leads is completely salvageable in the short term, but need players who can completely take the ball out of Randles hands and just make him a finisher and pick and pop player. Brogdon is a good option. My best case scenario is a deal centered around Randle and the lottery pick for Zion, then our Dallas pick plus fillers (Burks, Noel, Walker etc) for Brogdon or Brunson (sign and trade )

Definitely not overpaid. But injuring prone yes.

Well...at least Allen Crabbe is technically a Knick.

I was actually hoping Andrew Bynum would come out of retirement.

I was partial to BJ Mullens
I’ll take either, Brogdon would be idea. I think he’s a more realistic target than Brunson, he’s injury prone though. Just like Rose.
Could I get some love for my favorite ex, Emmanuel Mudiay? Or, what about ex Knick Austin Rivers?
We kinda have enough PFs and Brogdon is OK. Like if Burks were a slightly better PG he could be Brogdon. He's hurt a ton, isnt athletic and isnt a real move the needle guy. He's a nice shooter. I mean it the PG version of Burks so I dont really see the love
I remember when Ricky Rubio was the answer. Or was it DJ Augustin?

The love comes from lack of reasonable options for the Knicks.
If its a flip Fournier +. Assets for Brogdon type of deal would you do it? Considering our bad FA options it may not be the worst possible thing. He aint a real PG but he'd boost our playmaking more than Fournier does while offering better D. Not as consistent of a shooter as Evan tho.

Jimmer Freddette/Adam Morrison. Take your pick.

thats not love. Thats desperation and a lack of patience. When you learn the difference you will see why guys like Turner and midget are not where you throw your resources. You can see the carousel going round and round. Knicks get Turner and Brogden, maybe get a little better and have a good year like we had last year ending in a first round exit follow by a sub .500 year followed by "we gotta fire the coach" followed by... 20 goto 10

For many fans a path to include an established to plug in and assume their past success is given. Not their short comings.
The true path is things we can’t see. Its logical.
Lets talk about Trades, I like Mitch for Brunson despite it might cost us a pick to do so. Brunson had an awful game vs. us and like a youtube video some might have made a determination on that. What he does int he paint is a bit Tony parker like. He does it close to the ground as well. Crafty but with range. What chemistry can that bring to Randle to get some easier shots, Fornier who thrives when he does not have create too much, or a down hill RJ cutting thru the lane.
Dallas got Dinwiddie and thus Brunson is expendable if they can use him via trade.
I like mitch a lot and hope we can keep him or retain as trade value. But shit happens and I get why we couldn’t pay him more, or trade him given his foot and pending free agent status. Why pay up for him when you can get him as Free agent? thats why he was not valuable via trade.

Brogden is a good player... he's not so good where he moves the needle much beyond what we have. He's not helped Indy much (winning). He's a nice rotation guy. We have those. We need impact guys (if we are spending)

I agree he's not a "star." But I think any competent ball handler with decent ball IQ and shot creation would go a long way in this team. The team needs to find a way to shift game management responsibilities away from RJ/Randle/Burks. Brogdan would definitely move the needle if he stays on the court. I just wouldn't give up the farm. Obi or Can and a protected first-rounder
