And the start of a 10 game win streak?
Now we'll see how many Knick fans the UK has and how many are just frustrated little Coach/GM wannabes.

Treatises On Fixing Our Head Coach's Emotional Blindspots. Holy Fucking Shit.

Agreed.
I'm still confused by the incessant rant that Thibs refuses to play rookies. He has played ALL THE ROOKIES THIS YEAR AND LAST. Including second rounders - which btw, aside from Mitch never happened before. This year THREE rookies see the court and two of them second rounders.

You can claim scenarios that he was forced or not forced, but since WHEN did it become too long for a year to be how long it takes to bring along a rookie, nevermind a second rounder?

You can claim you've been saying it all year, Thibs stubborn, yada yada, but before now I've always also been of the opinion that rooks gotta earn it, and it ain't changed now.
People also burned the coaches for not playing:
Galloway
Grant
And Frank
And you see where those players got anyone.
I LOVE THE ROOKS more than any time in Knicks history, especially because they are late pick underdogs and over-performing. (Which is another discussion which should be had - kudos to FO for not pulling a John Wallace, McCarty, Dontae Jones draft. THANK YOU)
But the reality is we all collectively and individually don't know dick.
Thbs has forgotten more basketball than you'll ever know.
And I'm glad he's not tearing down players in public making situations worse a la MDA and then y'all be saying he ruined trade values.

this... and the eye test. The team plays hard. They play together. For all their chemistry issues here we are at the end of a disappointing season and the old guys and young guys are still fighting, still playing hard, and still playing together.

That's good coaching. That's a coach who has NOT lost his team. These agenda driven narratives are painful. We have a roster full of young hungry hustlers and they are playing hard for this coach, along with the vets.

Thibs has his faults... I dont even love the guy. He's the first good coach we have had in a while and it shows

I am also in tune with all this. I appreciate that there are reasonable, sometimes even informed (though not in my case) posters on this board.

It probably goes without saying but what's a message board for then? This has been a frustrating, painful 2021 - 22 campaign. There are a number of factors -- Randle's two steps back, Rose and Walker's physical demise and the lack of a "true" point guard (perhaps the main reason?), and overall working out chemistry issues. And maybe just lack of talent. So many want to blame, and it should likely be spread out among the FO, the coach and coaches, the players, and I'd add the fans and media who create an environment of bing bongness and negativity. For me, Thibs is probably the least to blame for all this. As mentioned, the team continues to play hard and despite so much spewed nonsense, young players have played a lot and even predominantly as the season has worn on (figure Mitch and RJ into that please).

I have mentioned before if you flipped flopped last season and this one we'd all be tickled pink. Of course that isn't the case but think back say three years. We have young good prospects and draft picks. We have a few solid vets (no matter what some people say). We seem to have Dolan staying out of it. We have an offseason coming up to sort things out with a front office who at the least seem competent. I am a traumatized Knicks fan but for me this is the most hopeful scenario we've had in decades. Which, yeah, isn't saying much but I'll take it.

bro it's been frustrating since 2000 outside of the hot months of Linsanity

Preach.

Feel like I just punched myself in thyne own nuts with that timeline reminder

2012-13 was good enough. Linsanity made it better, but it was pretty good overall.

All the old school knick fans like myself need therapy.

Ever ask yourself "WTF am I doing here?"

Yes, especially when people continue to circle jerk over a 3 week flash Lin the pan 10 years later. Oh wait, now it was "months".
