Fournier and Randle for Westbrook and first round pick? You think he would fetch a good player? Not so sure.
1) Randle to Orlando for Bamba (13m per) and T. Ross (11.5mm)
2) Fournier 17, Walker 7.7 and Noel 8.7 to GAW for Wiggins 31.5. GSW just gets a bit of depth.
3) Sign a PF for the MLE (Bagley?).
4) Draft Tari Eason
Quick/Rose/McBride
Barrett/Burks/Ross
Wiggins/Reddish/Eason
Toppin/Bagley/Gibson
Bamba/Robinson/Sims
Not perfect but a lot of 3pt ability in the SL. The PG issue isn’t resolved, but the Knicks still have their picks and a bit of ability to wheel and deal in 2023.
It’s funny, if Randle would just be the guy we know he can be, this team would be better with Randle than all these weird moves. But if he is gonna sulk and pout, well, we have to build differently.
Ideally Randle uses the off-season to return to some semblance of the player he was a year ago. I think he needs a Phil Jackson type influence. Phil Jackson in his coaching prime.
I’d hate for the Randle era to end in disappointment.
Time to work that CAA magic Mr Rose.
We all wish we can get last years Randle but why do we reasonably expect that
No one even knows why randle has had such a huge hair across his ass so what’s the catalyst for change?
I think he either needs to go to a smaller less stressful market or a team where he’s the second or third option less pressure
Trading him would be best for everyone involved. He's clearly not mentally strong enough to play here. Send him to a small market team with no media. As far as what we would get back, I do not expect much. I'd be content with expiring contracts tbh.
I'd do it for a password to Angela Whites OF account, a beat VHS copy of Ben Affleck'ss "Daredevil' and a pair of Starburies. I'd settle for some cap space via expiring contracts.
Send Randle to see Wendy Rhodes and get his head together.
Send him to OKC. If he can't play in front of a crowd he will be fine there.

we can do better.

Indiana Pacers on overall # and then the Wiz for %.
Maybe we trade for KP!
I would get picks from pdx and dump him there for bledsoe

If we can get picks do that.
Read that Post article depicting his insolence. Seems damning. I have given him the benefit of the doubt but this is weird. Is he upset over his contract?
Diminished star power trip? Has knicks betrayed him in some fashion? HE reacting to fans enthusiasm for RJ and Obi?
Its unfortunate as it was such a good thing he did last season. If he can "pull a Harden" and get us a good return via trade then "allrighty then!" We move on.
I do want to know if there is something toxic brewing that he need move on from?
Tough One.
Would you trade Randle and Noel for Michael Porter Jr. knowing that Porter is having more back troubles and has a 5 year 172m max contract extension starting next year? Do you buy that risk?

that might be the worse possible trade, even though the one year he played had me eating crow that we didn't draft him.
Ideal return is is getting 2/3rds of last years Randle. Can't ascertain his value if we don't know what is bugging him?
Can't keep losing players like KP and Randle due to non on court issues. (I know, Phuch Janis and the mechanical bull he rode in on!)
Maybe its him? Is it the organization? Thibs renting too much space in his head? He got a beef RJ is not the teachers pet?
Did we put him on the trade block prior to the trade deadline? Did a deal break up at the last minute? Is the deal to resurrect off season and his head is messed up by it?
Should we be concerned players don't want to come here or stay?
In time we'll find out.

Two-thirds of last years’ Randle is not good enough unless RJ really really explodes. That would be fine and it can happen. The problem is that makes Randle second fiddle and he does not seem fine playing that role. If you don’t believe that then you can document his on-court behavior dating back to December. It’s not just the fans that seem to be bothering him. Otherwise, why would he do stuff such as sitting so far away from the team during time-outs on multiple occasions?
Getting those Portland picks for Randle is pretty ideal. I personally would start talking to NOLA about Zion. He’s going to cost a crap ton though so for now, that’s obviously not too realistic. Still worth taking a poke.
Wouldn’t Randle be a FA in a few months if he didn’t sign an extension? Well yes, that is the case Rookie. Well shit, this whole thing makes no sense at all. The only thing that does make sense is that Randle is emotionally and mentally unstable and needs help. He should get that help and see if he can get right because he is useless as a pro athlete the way he is now….. then trade him

Anyone else notice grumpy-Randle coincided with his child being born? Maybe he's got it rough at home. Who knows? And can't underestimate the effect that could have.

Not reading any Nalod for the past few months, huh?
If it is due to the birth of his child, what the hell is going to fix that? The terrible twos next season?
I just can't see this FO ditching two vets in Randle and Fournier they just spent $170MM signing. That's pretty much saying; Kemba, Randle, Fournier --> Three strikeouts in one season. The golden sombrero of contractual fuhuck ups.
And for all those wanting to ditch EF, imagine him doing to us what he does to the Celts.

I dont see the team being torn apart by the this... they are playing really hard despite his struggles. Coach is sticking with him (mostly). I was thinking there might be something human happening that is really tough on him and impacting his performance. Now it could be something like that AND he's an asshole egomaniac who thinks he's Kobe part II and is pissed that RJ may quickly pass him as the team/franchise leader/face. Just cause you have cancer doesnt mean you cant also get AIDs.
