Yup yup

i'll add another yup yup

IQ has done a great job but he's better as a combo guard. Do what we need at the time. In the SG role when he can just shoot (less hesitation)he'll be better still.

he and the team will be better still with a bona fide pg

Just please no more 35 minutes a night of Alec Burks dribble, dribble than
Pass to Randle for ISO

In order not to have that next season we got two choices:
A) Obtain a veteran PG
Or
B) Trade Burks

Otherwise you know Thibs, he is just going to go back to his comfort zone which is starting Burks at the PG for better or worse, in good times or bad

Thibs knows Burks is way better as a 2 guard. He has to. If Rose gets a PG this offseason he has to Burks back at SG

He had an excuse last year with Kemba’s health

I don't think Quickley is best suited as a full time lead guard.

However I think the best course is for the Knicks to explore the entire marketplace and see what turns up. Maybe they draft a guy who is useful or McBride or Rokas or something else emerges.

Let's wait and see what happens. What happens with Kemba Walker is obviously a big issue. He's either eating a roster spot and cap space and potential minutes or he's not. That changes everything in terms of options/pathways. I don't see Walker having a ton of trade value though, even as a pure salary dump.

I still hold to the viewpoint that the Knicks grossly outbid themselves for Walker last offseason. I still think they should have just waited it out ( I don't see Presti holding onto him under any circumstances) and looked to see if they could get Kemba for the veteran's minimum with the enticement of a possible starting job.

I think IQ will be an excellent PG, as long as he's not playing with a blackhole... if the entire lineup moves the ball, then I think what IQ brings will shine. If he can get Obi and RJ going, and then be a catch-and-shoot guy from three after they got going, then hell yes I think he's our future starter at PG
