But seriously, don't you think that the Celtics were smiling every time Draymond took an open 3 pointer in game 1? I don't think he took any in game 2, he just did what he does and the Warriors offense was better for it. I don't think that the Knicks are good enough to have to fret about Robinson's shot profile, that's way, way down the to do list. Any outside game starts at the free throw line.

As I said above, I do not believe 3-point shooting should be part of Mitch's game, since I doubt he will ever learn to shoot those shots at a decent percentage. But diversifying his offensive repertoire to include a few spin moves and jump hooks, plus getting to a high conversion rate on open 3-6 foot (or make it 5-10 ft) jump shots should be a must. The Knicks are not so offensively stacked as to be able to have someone on the court who cannot hit an open shot close to the basket. And they should be easier to master than 3 point shots.

That, and he needs to learn to shoot free throws.

They have Al Horford, did you for get him? If I recall from the little I saw of the GS game even Theis dropped a three.

but that doesn't disprove Time Lord's value. See also Draymond Green

i think the quoted analysis is right. We don't want mitch toying around with mid range. we would be much better off ensuring that every player on the team who drives to the rim knows how to throw a lob if Mitch's defender abandons him

The good news is that this as unlikely as Brunson signing with the Knicks. A Vooch/Williams for Gobert trade is interesting tho. That defense would be crazy, assuming everyone is healthy.

Pretty much resigned to the fact Mo Bamba is our starting Center next season

The best Knicks draft pick in almost 30 years going to play for the bulls in his prime? I’m getting nauseous

Then he needs to teach Sims how to shoot free throws and then we can let Mitch walk.

Draft is on June 23. Robinson has until beginning of free agency on June 30 to sign a 4 year 48 million deal. After that it gets dicey. Knicks will have his bird rights but someone else could sweep in.
