I always believe u can score big in rd 2 especially the last ten years.
Two guys I love going through a slew of them 6-4 inch 210 pd guard Bryce Hamilton of unlv. Was keyed on a lot so some of his % are not indicative of what could be done w more spacing( although he’s very decent) complete ball control with both hands sweet left stroke three level player excellent ball handler passer shooter. Body control is high level. Good athlete not great but strong— reminds me of a lefty Poole from gs.
6-7 Justin lewis. Big versatile wing who can defend many positions. Can be used as small ball 5 at 245. Good rebounder ball handler good shooter versatile will be better than many first rd picks in longer run. Will surprise people right away

I like Moussa Diabate with the 42 pick to be the 3rd string defensive PF, depending if someone better slips. Showed a lot of agility at the combine. 6'10 with a 7'2 wingspan. 36' vertical. 2.7% body fat. Basically an athletic PF/C. Doesn't have the wow factor that Sims had, but his shuffle run was pretty legit (2.9). He is a bit Speed/Agile and should be able to run with the faster bigs in the league. Below says 190lbs but weighed in at 216 at the combine. Still thin, but growing.

Justin Lewis seems to be creeping up the board. I wouldn't count on him being there.

This guy if given opportunity will be DPOY. I would consider with 42.

If Josh Minott is there draft him.

You can score bigger with bigs and big wings in the second round. Very few elite guards come out of the second round. For whatever reason I feel like scouts are much better at evaluating guards. Wings and bigs are the way to go in order to find a solid player.

I think you are right. I will venture to guess that bigs generally need several years to develop "man-strength" such that the difference of where they are at the time of draft and what they will become is a bit more randomized than the guards that need opportunity as so many have skill.
