Inquiring minds want's to know ?

I had no idea that Ivey didn't work out for Sacra-tomatoe Kings

Does it make a difference ? (unless top 3 picks Ivey).

WHY ? oh why ? would Sacramento Kings Pick Ivey whom refused NBA workouts ?
Can answer that & then admin can delete post if need be.

That is not unheard of. In fact, every year a small number of players refuse workouts to certain teams if they think they will go higher or do not want to go to the team. It matters, but if the Kings think he is the best player available, they will draft him regardless of his refusal to workout for them. It becomes water under the bridge after the player is drafted. I think they are better off trading the pick as he seems redundant to Fox, but I guess you can never have too many dynamic guards.

All of this. They drafted Davion Mitchell under the same circumstance just last year.

This will happen more and more. Players trying to dictate where they go. The money difference really doesn’t matter with all of the endorsements etc. my guess is CAA is trying to push a trade to get Ivey to the Knicks, or the Pacers where he’s the local star. Kings deal with this every year and it will only get worse. Agencies obviously are part of the reason.

Ivey's dad played NFL in Detroit? So maybe some ties there too?

I believe Luka didn’t want them to draft him and refused to workout for them. So they went with Begley. I can see them more likely to play hard ball due to those results.

A NBA organization FO selections has always been scary when their town News papers sport writers select a player weeks before the draft.
A winning NBA head-coach knows ..
1. Orlando .. need a creative Combo-guard Ivey (Donovan Mitchell) in their rotation.
2. Oklahoma City .. need a creative Combo-guard Ivey (Donovan Mitchell) in their rotation.
3. Houston .. need a creative Combo-guard Ivey (Donovan Mitchell) in their rotation.
4. Sacramento .. need Randle & Sobonis in their front court rotation.
5. Detroit .. ???
6. Indiana .. ???
7. Portland .. ???
8. Los Angeles Lakers (to New Orleans) .. ???
