Jalen Brunson averaged 20.4 points, 7.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 17 games without Luka Doncic this season.

Brunson also seems to be playoff capable, he steps up in the NBA, he steps up in college in pressure situations. In his 3 games without Doncic against Utah (Donovan, Gobert), Mavs are 2-1 with Brunson being a beast.

Brunson is the anti-Kyrie. He is more a team guy who is going to make those around him better and not be the flashiest, stat padder or focal point. And that's a need for the Knicks with Randle/RJ.

.. I am not juiced about Brunson, I feel exactly same though Brunson is most talented BRUNSON we seen in NBA yet.
However folks need to keep in mind, MAVs with Dončić superstar it's easy to see development pressures is off Brunson.

SO ques. is what happens when Brunson is brought to another team as a #1 ?allstar or pending superstar? Not sure NY is right mix for Brunson yet.
Think Brunson representatives are intriqued with $$$ Wallet Knicks will spend.

You really want a player ? whom going to get Bigtime $payday cause love of rich NBA contract ?in N.Y.
OR do you want a NBA player whom really wants to be in NY to win $$$ regardless of money

Brunson needs to elevate the team so elite status. Brunson can be like rest of NBA'ers when heat is on in NY
I'm not sure he's type of player whom can deal with it for success in Knick country

Brunson doesn’t have to be a #1 here just like he didn’t have to be that in Dallas. RJ is our #1

Let's see .. Brunson was a 2nd round #33 pick, who was probably selected by one of the NBA top PG head coaches Rick Carlye for the Mavs, now the Mavs have one of the NBA top younger creative PG head coach in Jason Kidd.
After being coached by Carlye & Kidd's mentoring Brunson's NBA growth as a NBA PG ..
Do you actually believe Brunson want to stop improving his performance each season by going to a coach killer Thibs who have NO offensive-plan each game ???

Our best case scenario is Brunson alleviates some stress off of RJ and Randle making him movable.

Or maybe we could do something like Randle, IQ, Grimes, 3 to 4 first for Dejante Murray. Not the worse deal for them.

Still leaving a young core of Murray, RJ, Reddish, Toppin, Mitch with Rose snd Fournier off the bench.

The Spurs are one of the only squads Randle might make sense.

I use to watch Mike Conley a lot in Memphis because they were my team out west for a few seasons. The more I watch Brunson the more he reminds me of Mike Conley in his prime, though Mike was older than Brunson at that point.

He looks impressive but everybody looks impressive in video clips.

Whether he is worth $25 million or not, he will be an upgrade.

Brunson doesn’t have to be a #1 here just like he didn’t have to be that in Dallas. RJ is our #1

Brunson will be the highest paid and most skilled player on this team. It will be his team (running the show) if his teamates and or coach lets him. He should have the stature based on platoon performance and advancing to place none of our players has been.
