That was my first thought. It didn’t matter who the Knicks drafted I just didn’t see this coach committing to anyone but a player in free agency or a vet. Anyways Thibs is a lame duck coach I don’t see him making it past All Star break.
Do you guys realize to be a Knicks drafted player is automatically means you can kiss getting a max contract. RJ might be the first to get one in how many years. Probably since Pat Ewing and I’m not sure they had max contracts back then.

Can't see him making it, see What McBride did in the G League, destroyed it and he barely gets a few minutes a week.

I hope he can embrace playing for Westchester for 2 seasons and we can reevaluate then. Maybe he can earn a 2-way after or full time roster spot Rose retires in a couple years.

Didn't the Knicks accommodate a trade with KP so he could get the max the Knicks didn't want to give?
Yes, Frank and Knox didn't get the max. Gallinari got pretty close.
