Really interesting player. I wrote previously he reminds me of Brogdon. Plays for Mike Woodson and is repped by CAA so Knicks will dig into him.
You right on Brogdon and I forgot about Woods hookup
Looks like a great prospect, size-wise and passing ability. his shot is a little flat and he plays from the outside

He would have to drop far enough.
where do you have him pegged?
draft.net has him 18 tankathon has him 12
So yeah... might need to be a trade up scene
He was a lot later last time I checked

totally.... Deuce will be a great player for the next guy to beat out. That how it works. If he doesnt want to lose his minutes to some kid who defends AND scores he can start putting the ball in the phucking hole

You were close about Orlando. 5th worst record. But it's only a 4 team race.
I think it's blatantly obvious these 4 teams are losing and tanking on purpose for Victor Wembanyama. Because there's no way a coach as great as Gregg Popovich (with his knowledge and his basketball IQ) could ever lose 10 in a row (by accident).
I don't blame them either. Because I've never seen a basketball prospect like Victor Wembanyama before. When I'm watching his highlights? I don't know if I'm watching Steph Curry, Greek Freak, Hakeem Olajuwon, Yao Ming or Dikembe Mutombo? Unreal.
I personally would've guessed heading into the season Sacramento would've finished with the worst record but the Kings have shocked me. 31-23. The 1 year they were supposed to stink, they blew it.

With the Knicks appearing to commit to Josh Hart as a wing, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Knicks focus on a combo forward who can eventually replace Toppin. Kris Murray and Taylor Hendricks are 2 guys who can shoot, rebound and offer a little rim protection too. Neither has shot creation ability to be a star. But as a backup PF to Randle on a thibs team they both make some sense. Murray will move a lot without the ball and grab rebounds. He will spot up and hit open shots. Hendricks isn’t quite as ready but offers more upside and rim protection as a hybrid forward.

You know Knicks will trade back like 3 times so you'd better give us enough choices for 2 late first round picks, 1 second round selection, and 2 stashes

We need to draft BPA

This isn't the NFL.
by the time you get to the low 20s, it's a guessing game.

I wouldn't say that. It's just that every teams player ratings seem to diverge past the top 5. IQ is perfect example. A lot of teams had IQ as a second rounders and we had rated higher. It's more of guessing game for us sofa scouts, I'd say.

Teams typically place players into tiers. So once you get later in the draft there’s probably multiple players viewed similarly. I understand BPA but Knicks also need to account for a player that has a path to development here.

On the occasions I have to look at past 1st rounds, I'm almost never not impressed by the top 20 and even top 10 guys who's names I've forgotten in even just a few short years.
It's mostly art, not science.

This...
When you get into the 20s its not like you have guys that much separated from one another. Maybe you do have a player or two you REALLY think stand out, and that's find, but BPA is a different animal once you get out of the top of the draft.

You can say the same thing about QB drafting... Not taking shots at the Jets, but it is what it is.

I absolutely do...
QB evaluation is do for a quantum rethink.
Great QBs are made in the brain - how a guy sees 1.5 seconds into the future and unconsciously makes his arm place a ball in the right place 1.5 seconds in the future.
BRIGGS@ 2/10/2023 3:08 PM
Jordan Hawkins is a more athletic Allan Houston but is way better on the D.

we got the Dallas pick and a really high #2 (Det 2nd rounder). Gut feeling is we take a shot on a prospect who fell and a high IQ work ethic guy with the 2nd pick.

The only clear cut guy I want is Tracy Jackson davis. I like jalen Wilson from kansas but if I have a chance to get Hawkins I might. He’s got a beauty of a shot 41% on volume 3s. High 2 I’m either edey Marcus sasser ir the 7 foot pf from Arizona
