Jett Howard, juwans son, is a 6-8 sg. Could be worth a look. I have a feeling the knicks trade out of this draft for future capital.

I like Rupert. Doesn’t seem like a thibs player though.

I really hope they don’t trade out again. At some point they need to replenish their rookie contract talent. Leon rose has some really good momentum with roster building as they have a lot of rotation players on rookie contracts, but they need to keep building that way.

BigDaddyG @ 3/1/2023 11:09 AM
Scoot's teammate is coming in strong the past few games.
BRIGGS @ 3/1/2023 11:36 AM
I don’t look at most picks as immediate contributors. It’s more like keeping the talent pool fresh for the next wave of the future. Only a few of these guys could contribute anyway. The one guy im sold on is trayce Jackson davis. He’s a physical beast with great experience and talent wise superior to sims and hartenstein today. 6-9 245 w a 40 inch vertical. I’m still watching guys. Kris Murray is another guy because he’s 6-8 that can be attractive along w hawkins. But we can add 1-2 very athletic two way prospects this year w Dallas and wash picks. We can’t afford to pay each player 25 mm. U need contract controlled players as well

Feels like you do though, you screamed about not having a pick this past season.

I think we may have missed out on jalen Williams. But we used the equity on jalen Brunson which was better. Also I think the pick we may have had for willians was not used in the Brunson deal to crest cap

Knicks used cap space on Brunson and iHart. Realistically no more wiggle room after that.

Jalen Williams, man OKC has so many young players and picks coming in, man, he might get lost in the crunch for minutes over the next few years. Disadvantage of having so many young players and picks is you can't play them all. Several teams have lots of young players with multiple picks that are going to make many talented players available over the next few years on a bargain So maybe we pick up a young player cheap. Look at Hachimura and Bey and Bones going for second rounders this deadline. Let's just draft well and trade our protected picks at next deadline and see who we can snag or draft. Or go shopping wisely during the off season. Plus what can a NTP Mid level get us. We have our core plus RJ and Grimes with levels to improve

I really like Hawkins and Murray as 2 guys who can provide value sooner rather than later. Now if the Knicks aren’t looking for a guy to insert into the rotation (realistically it would only be in place of Toppin) and they just want a good prospect in the pipeline, they may consider Dariq Whitehead. He’s a NJ kid. His stock is dropping due to injury issues. He’s not looking like the elite prospect he came in as. But 2 things he can do, shoot and defend. And he’s a 6’7 wing which is always useful. If the Knicks can develop him behind the scenes and tap into the elite talent he was labeled as coming out of high school, that’s another elite wing to have in the mix. If he doesn’t have the talent, he’s still a solid 3&D guy as a baseline.

So looking at this team:

Brunson
Grimes
RJ
Randle
Robinson

Quickley
Hart
Toppin
Hart2

Sims
Fournier

To be true contenders we will still need that #1 option, but I think we can look to bolster SF/PF depth this draft. I think our PG rotation of Brunson/Quick is top tier with Rokas also coming into the mix this summer. I think we have the best center depth rotation in the league. I think that Grimes in 2 years can be our own GTJ with better finishing. Its really just getting someone who can challenge Obi and RJ giving us consistency. How good is that Kris Murray kid?

Murray is good. Without sounding too obvious he’s a poor man’s version of his brother. He’s going to be a pretty good nba shooter and rebounder. He just won’t create much offense but as a backup 3/4 he’s a pretty good option and really fills a role here.

We never get the better brother, darn. But anyway don't jinx it watch him get picked one spot before we pick, 😆. I trust the scouting dept only time they messed up has been with Keels. And who knows maybe Keels will be a player

BRIGGS @ 3/3/2023 1:04 AM

taylor hendricks F UCF
Finally got to see him play tonight-looked good and plays a smart tough game of basketball. Heres a video of his game from last week Hes a tad over 6-9 230 and can probably play 3-4-5 which makes him quite versatile in/out player with handles

Like this guy a lot for the Knicks. Wonder where he will end up, lottery or after

Good footwork, shooting is big plus, peanut butter complexion, this guy could work. How is his defense I've never watched UCF this season?

Yeah I think he looks like a better fit than Obi given his shooting but I'm not writing Obi off yet. Hopefully these two guys can push each other. Man I'm so happy for this team.

He prob ends up in the lottery.
How many 6/9 230 pound freshmen who shoot 42% on volume 3s and block 2 shots a game are there? He wouod match up w what we have here.

Nalod @ 3/3/2023 1:51 PM
Taylor Hendricks vs. 5-22 Golden Hurricanes of Tulsa.
Lottery? He got more work to do before he lottery.
Knixkik @ 3/3/2023 10:50 PM
Hard to see him lasting beyond the lottery. He would be a perfect 3/4 for the Knicks though.
