Sam Vecenie does an early mock draft with Adam Spinella on his game theory podcast. Good exercise to familiarize yourself to this year's propects. Also, can you pin this thread Martin? Both links should send you to the episode.
Another interesting prospect on the Ignite. He entered the draft last year and withdrew. I like the flashes but I'm still not certain what his NBA role is.

Could this send us in a better direction to land an A Level player?
NY receives: Westbrook, Keon Johnson, (future) Lakers #1 pick, Portland #1 pick Port receives: Anthony Davis, Kendrick Nunn, NY #1 pick (2023 Pistons pick) LA receives: Damian Lillard, Julius Randle, Evan Fournier, Ryan Arcidiacono
Why NY does it - get out of Fournier and Randle contracts with minimial pick adding. Gain Lakers 1st, take flyer on Keon Johnson. Why Port does it - AD is younger and fits better with need up front, A. Simmons and youth timeline. Port looks good sending Dame to LA Why LA does it - they get rid of Westbrook's contract/bad fit and while they lose AD - Randle offers them dependability at the PF spot. Fournier shooting and Lillard gives them the 2nd star next to Lebron.
I know our plan to keep waiting for another star to want out and we can - but this would shift the season focus to seeing what Toppin has, evaluating if RJ can assume Randle's role in the offense, deciding on Cam and IQ's future potential, gaining an extra #1 first (with value) to try to package into this years draft. So while it's no tanking - it gives us a better opportunity/path to draft a top tier player.
Or we could keep going this season at .500%, land the 12-14th pick and keep waiting for the stars to align.

I was going to post him. He’s going to be good I think. Should be in our range of the draft. Nice playmaking guard with good range and length. His slight build will be a challenge, but he could pair nicely with Quickley off the bench and provide a bucket getter while improving the shooting for this team. Could be a mix of Rozier and McCollum.

Or replace Quickley with him altogether. Not a Quickley basher, but I think this kid could be an upgrade. But I think the team needs to target wings this draft.

Well Quickley seems to be the backup PG these days and I consider Smith to be more of a wing as opposed to be a combo guard. I think they would fit well together.

We need BPA at every pick. Although that’s clearly been Rose/Perry’s draft philosophy so far anyway

Can't help but think that perhaps the right play was to keep Brunson but trade away Randle and EF. we probably lose a lot of games but this year draft I hear is pretty stacked.
