Don't know what that would take. Could see the team doing a soft tank for this upcoming deep draft while still getting a youngish 4 to share the spot with Obi with 24 mins each, unless Obi takes the spot and plays 34. I see the team doing something non of us expect. I think if we got Westbrook there is no way he gets bought out, we didn't even buy out Kembas 9 million dollar deal let alone 45 million. So if we got Westbrook we might use his deal to acquire some players on bad deals for the future. So that's what I think the team would do. Maybe get Westbrook and trade him to get good players an other team may want to shed the deals of. I think team is going to try to win this year but if we get of to a bad start be ok with losing and getting a too ten pick

No need to buy out Westbrook he’d already be an expiring contract and we already got a our FA target this offseason Brunson. Westbrook would be in the rotation next year as a backup pg.

It looks like the Knicks already tried several times to get rid of Randle’s contract this way but unfortunately the lakers know Randle and weren’t interested

State a rumor other than Blog vomit. WE know nothing of substance regarding Utah talks.
You did see that lebron just extended right? So with him and AD where would Randle play? Nobody said you have to like Randle, but you can’t be all stupid making up shit about.

its an interesting thought actually with GH at the wing with RJ. Being an expiring kind of does not have the same cache value as in the past. GH and Fornier are a bit redundant and its a lot of money tied up for that.

Murray has a year left on his deal. Thats it. He is not beloved by SAS coaches to extend him. I believe DM is a better player. And do the picks equate to knicks have to offer?

Just because Ainge says it don’t mean it will be.

They want the Paul George haul.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, forward Danilo Gallinari and the Clippers’ first round draft picks in 2022, 2024 and 2026, along with two first-round choices via Miami (2021 and 2023), and OKC obtained the right to swap first-round picks in 2023 and 2025

The Thunder fleeced the Clippers. I don't want that to be us 3 years from now. Clippers are on the decline and the Thunder control their next 4 drafts

In the event we trade for GH, Fornier would go in another deal. I can see the team making small deals along the margins and picking up more future draft capital.

You're ignoring the Kawhi factor in that deal. Clippers have been clear that they only made that deal because Kawhi said he would sign if they got George. I don't know about the Clippers being in decline either. They seem to have the deepest and most versatile team in the league going into the season.

If Randle was so good they could easily fit him in. Kinda like how the Knicks are trying desperately to trade for Mitchell who is a pg just after they signed a full time pg

Everyone sleeping on the clippers. Kawahi is only 31

“Desperately?” Just because you are daft don’t assume others are similar.

Knicks are in a great position. I think we likely come short of the play in and pick 7-10 in a deeper draft. I think the Dallas pick will fall 17-24. Keep out picks for next season and we will draft a better version of Cam Reddish and a back up for Obi. Trade Randall for future draft assets and a matching contract with fewer years as top priority. Give Reddish a shot in training camp and first half of season or pair him in a deal with Randall or Rose or Fornier. Use next draft wisely to secure us young players or to trade for a young vet,
