If things dont improve, my guess is that they'll move Green. Get the feeling "the punch" took the air out of their tires.

Maybe they trade Randle and fire Thibs.

Lauri isn't even shooting the three well. Gives you hope that he might be able to continue his scoring. I'm curious what Ainge does next. Lauri only makes $17M per for the next three season including this one. Does Ainge ride this or does he start selling before he's taken out of the Wemba sweepstakes.

Feel like this should always be in comparison to the Knicks highest usage players and their volume 3pt shooting. Relative to those top 2 guys, Lauri is waaaayyy above average.
I know AD is kind of washed and unreliable but I'd still trade Randle and Fournier for him.

Lakers wouldn't do this...
The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly having second thoughts about hiring suspended Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka. League sources indicate that "strong voices" are encouraging Tsai to back off hiring Udoka to fill the Nets head coach vacancy, given the other challenges the franchise is currently facing.Brooklyn was reportedly set to replace the recently fired Steve Nash with Udoka, but that hiring has not come to fruition despite being reported on several days ago. The Nets currently have Jacque Vaughn coaching the team in an interim capacity.
Brooklyn is in the midst of a suspension for point guard Kyrie Irving. Irving was suspended after sharing the link to an anti-Semitic film and failing to aplogize for that action. The Nets have outlined several steps Irving must complete before he will be allowed to return to the team.
Udoka is serving a year-long suspension from the Celtics for an inappropriate relationship with a Boston staffer. It was reported that the Celtics would not keep Udoka from taking another job, nor would Boston seek compensation for allowing Udoka out of his contract.

Looks like Nets took a bit long to get there but more measured response to Kyrie looks reasonable. I believe there was a list things he needs to do to satisfy before coming back. I’d think the league and the union needed that time to figure it out. Now its on Kyrie to respond. He does not like being told what to do so its not a given he makes the effort but at least it was spelled out what is expected. Whether he does it for the money or is genuine is something that would be hard to measure. In the end I think its a fair response from Nets and perhaps it was ambitious to think they could process another kyrie unprecedented event so fast?
As for Idoka, Boston suspended him for a year and while it takes them off the hook to let him go to nets, its a bad look for the NBA. Its a good coaching move as he was assistant to Nash and liked by team. Timeline looks bad on them and they need to rebuild some decent public relations because they are fucking up left and right with this team and image. Not hard to thimk that Silver stepped in and told them it was a bad look. perhaps wait a few months at best?

When was the last time an asst wasnt promoted when a coach was fired during the season? Believe that part is starting to sink into the Nets FO.

The Brooklyn Nets irked many outside their organization last week for their reported interest in hiring Ime Udoka as the team’s next head coach. It now appears those sentiments are shared by some within the franchise, too.
One day after NBA insider Marc Stein reported there have been “strong voices” urging Nets owner Joe Tsai to back off Udoka as the replacement for the recently fired Steve Nash, another report surfaced Monday broadly hinting those who might feel that way. NJ Advanced Media’s Adam Zagoria reported how there has been concern from “women in leadership positions” about the team’s rumored interest in Udoka, as shared by NBA Central on Twitter.

Can someone please direct me where I can find the full story on this situation on Ime Udoka?
All I have ever read/heard was that he had a workplace relationship with a subordinate and they may or may not have been some inappropriate text messages.
I understand that alone is bad on its own right but it seems like there is a lot of speculation going on about this and no one, outside the Boston organization, seems to have the full story (at least from my research).

nets PR department been working 24 hr shifts ever since the big 2 came to town. Udoka is very intriguing because of his on the court resume...his off the court resume has some in the organization pushing back. Udoka will get another job, but the timing and franchise may not be a good fit right now.

Are you saying Amare should get gender reassignment and lobby for the job? He already converted to Judaism years ago.
