I still say no, but he's out there.
Yeah its a fuck no for me. He can rot
This some BS... Butler over Brunson?!?!?! We doing lifetime achievement now?

I mean, Butler and DeRozan currently in an elimination game for the 8th seed. Apparently they weren't clutch enough.
And I just know they're going to screw us on this one too.

Yeah, JB don't get it I'm rooting for DeRozan. Butler and Fox have both said things that can't be forgiven.

You sir, you won the biggest award here.
Bojan Bogdovic next year or Harrison Barnes for Obi outgoing might be great. Start Bogs or Barnes with Mitch and Randal RJ joins mob deep.
JB in it for most improved player.
We going to get an MIP everytime we make the playoffs now?

Love JB, but this is Lauri's award. JB should be pissed he got snubbed by MVP voters.
It’s gonna be a wild offseason and the Knicks will be in the thick of it

he is going to have to lower the price on a few of them assets because I remember sources saying his demands were crazy high. That is why no one bit when he was dangling OG before.
I dont get it with OG. I dunno if I wanna be trading with the Raptors. Would be happy to take Trent Jr,

I do. He isn't that great of a player. I keep asking when him and so e of these other dudes that are being fawned over became "stars". His rep gets 10 tics up because he isn't the current Knicks SF, which is dumb. He is a good 3 and D guy.

He is a great 3 and D guy in the same way Josh Hart is incredible off the bench for Knicks. He is a legit 1-5 defender.

They traded a first round pick for Josh Hart. People are talking players and multiple (I've seen as many as 4, but mostly people propose 3) first round picks.
As Scottie would say, "He ain't him"

Right, that’s Masai Ujiri talking, which we expect. And now OG is in the last year of his contract and baring a TWolves-like stupidity offer, things will be different

I’m with Martin in the OG Anunoby plan. He passes both the eye test and the advanced stat test. I don’t know how Toronto fails to put it all together but they have good parts. Their roster is one of those rosters that just is trouble for the Knicks. Their biggest flaw is their lack of a center, which they should solve I. The draft this year.
They are prioritizing Barnes over OG and that is why OG is available. I’m not saying they’re wrong, either, but it’s similar to the Knicks prioritizing Barrett over Quickley. In fact, it’s near identical in reasoning and outcome.
I’d move Barrett straight up for OG and not think twice.
OG has the better biometrics, hustle, and efficiency numbers. Yes, he is older, but 25 isn’t an issue for me.
If I were Toronto’s GM, I’d be more likely to try and move Barnes for a center if Barnes has perforce value. Run it back with FVV/Trent/OG/Siakam and their newest center. Let Detroit give them one of their Centers (Duren or Wiseman). But if they choose to stick with Barnes, I will take OG all day.
I’d take Gary Trent too. He is a FA. Hell, I’ll give them that Dallas 1st if they take back Fournier in a Sign and Trade
Brunson/Grimes/OG/Randle/Robinson
IQ/Trent/Hart/Toppin/Hart
I’m good. Run it.

Interesting thought on Trent.
I’d do RJ, Obi, Rokas, McBride, salary, multiple picks for OG, Trent. Some combo that works.

So, the only question after your proposed trade is backup PF. I haven’t been able to find a PF that makes sense. OG can slide there in a pinch. So can iHart. But, I’m looking for someone to keep Randle honest. And looking over his shoulder.
Cam Johnson is the archetype I am looking for. He is an RFA but he’s got starter dollars coming to him. That’s the closest I can come up with. Someone like Cam Johnson.

I would definately agree on Trent. He would be a great pickup. OG for Barrett is a fit for fit swap (possibly), so while I still think we should keep Barrett because I think his ceiling is higher, at the very least it's acceptable (to me) because you are not giving up future assets.
The lineup with both OG and Trent seems decent. The deal, however is a little rich for my liking. If we are breaking it down OG for RJ and McBride, Rokas, and salary (depends on who we are talking) seems like a fair enough deal. I don't think I would surrender any more than a single first round pick though.
