You know what's wild? Pick 1 & 2 are going to be generational. 3-6 may be in line with top 3 picks of this offseason.

Lots of wing players and Knicks need exactly that

Yeah the top of the draft will obviously be generational. Not sure once you get beyond that first and second tier though. After the Knicks sort of punting the draft last year after missing on Ivey, I can see them sort of recommitting to targeting a couple of specific players and using the 2 first round picks in 2023, plus any of the future protected picks to grab a guy they love. I can see them targeting a wing to eventually replace Fournier (either as a starting wing or third wing behind RJ/Grimes) and having Jokubaitis to replace Drose. Rokas is currently leading a FC Barcelona team full of former nba guys and has been their best player in the first couple of games. Hopefully he can solidify the PG position behind Brunson for years to come.

If we tank, we will get the next pick outside of however many prospects are considered “can’t miss”.

Exactly. We always are one pick away from a Steph or Ja Morant. And now that a true superstar will be available, we get just good enough to make the playoffs and miss out on the lottery all together.

It's a broken record for old or new school fans. We've seen this movie before. It's called INSANITY

Hinkie was right. I think a lot of people, fans, owners, GMs understand that. More than any team sport, in the NBA, the team with the BEST player usually wins everything. We can list all kinds of exceptions.

I enjoy RJ, I will enjoy Brunson. I will enjoy everyone on this team (even though I dropped FUBO and forgot MSG isn't on HULU) this year, even though, I know we're not winning a championship. It's nice to dream.

So I am conflicted, because while winning is great, I'd rather have a championship.

If someone said- you can tank this year, and get him- 100% or 99%- if you traded RJ, Mitch, everyone- and win 4 games- I would have a hard time finding a reason to turn down that offer.

I used to think giving the teams that missed the play offs a stronger shot at a player like this wasn't fair.

Now- I think I want to change my mind, because teams like us that might squeak in or just miss out, shouldn't get screwed because Orlando lucks into the next Michael Jordan or KD after being so horrible.

My hope is maybe we do miss the playoffs- I think we're on the bubble- and defy odds to land a player like this.

Wembanyama has established himself as the all time great prospect these last few days. So now it’s being assumed that more teams will tank than usual as the season sort of shows who isn’t as good as they thought. And that means players come on the trade market that may not otherwise. That’s where the Knicks probably pounce on the trade market.

Some draft analysts tried to pass off Chet as this good. Victor has insane mobility for his size. I would tank a season for the oppurtunity to draft him. There is the possibility for Lebron level of impact.

My only issue with Wembenyama is his body type. Guys like KP and Chet Holmgren have shown they have an issue staying healthy. Wembenyama obviously way better than those clowns but he might end up having similar injury problems down the road

Tank so we can pick 4th again? Wembenyama is going to be a rocket or bull

Maybe those play in spots that lose should get an equal % for the top pick.

But our luck is our picks only move up after we trade them.

Silver is not rigging the draft for us. We can go 0-82 and still not get Wembenyama

I'd put money on the Spurs

Best prospect I have seen since Lebron. Same height as Ralph Sampson but Ralph never had anything close to these skills. Looks like his body is much more solidly built than Ralph or Porzingis. Should be the best player on the planet in 2-3 yrs.

Perhaps. San Antonio is a deceptively large market. 2nd biggest city in Texas
