https://hoopshype.com/reps/simple fact that CAA and Excel dominate the NBA agency list.
Klutch comes in a distant third. Then it drops off fast.
75 make this list. number 24 is curious. It's Janis with just his brothers remaining contract.
CAA is a top entertainment agency and if your running the worlds most famous arena, the forum in LA (now sold), Radio City music hall, and others, you are tight with them.
The blood lines run deep given Leons association and its likely how he got here. He helped build the largest NBA agency!
When a player signs with CAA we assume we got some inside track. Its has not really worked out given the player has his own circumstances. Zion did not orchestrate his way here. Donovan Mitchell still could not get home given all the inside stuff.
Leon will get the inside track on free agents and draft prospects who sign with CAA. The Zions and Donovans of the world are only acquired via trade and are far less attainable. But we have to continue to assume Leon will target CAA signed players. From Brunson, hart, to targeting Ivey, to signing fillers like pinson, bacon, Myles Powell, drafting Rokas. It’s all CAA connections.

more like just "reading the room"

Brunson was most unusual. Rick was Leons first client and the relationship continues. Leons son is Jalens agent at CAA. IF CAA has the most players, stands to reason that market share will factor to knicks, and all other teams.
Not to say it does not matter CAA has “relations” with knicks. Just saying is the player influenced by the Agent or the opportunity at hand?
Remember when we were gonna sign Lebron because Fizz was his assistant coach in Miami? Good times
