I do believe we have a Playoff team within the makings and if Brunson @ PG (as our facilitator) can help improve the likes of R.J. Barrett, Mitchell Robinson and especially Julius Randle (finally has himself a PG @ PF)?
I think we can shock a lot of people around the NBA and finish as a top 3 seed.
Because I think kids like IQ, Grimes, McBride, Sims and OBI TOPPIN etc could all be ready to breakout (come into their own).
GO NY GO NY GO (and yes, I took NYK ML to W @ Memphis tonight).

I'm glad you kept your expectations conservative this time
Why would we think someone w “mentality” in his handle would make a crazy prediction?..
Knicks getting the third seed and Fournier is going to lead us there!
East is tough this year I’d be thrilled with 10th seed

You'd be "thrilled" with a 10th seed?
To each our own but I'm an NY Knicks fan from our Ewing years and I'm sorry but...
As an NYK fan there's nothing "thrilling" (absolutely nothingness is "thrilling") about a crap #10 seed record.
The Knicks are 3-1 overall and currently tied for 3rd seed
Hope you enjoy the Knicks of 2022 this year because I'd be hard pressed Phil to find 9-10 other teams in the East who are A.) Built and constructed better than NY and B.) Have more talent from top to bottom including depth players off the bench.
10th seed isn't thrilling.
A lot of posts are about let's see where we are after 20-25 games, but I think the the Knicks record over the next 7 will be indicative of where we finish up. If Knicks can go 3-4 or 4-3 we will be a low playoff seed/ play in team. Anything better or worse than that and it changes our outlook.

It’s a good start so far. We played very sloppy on both ends yesterday against a very short handed hornets team. Would have been a horrific loss but a W is a W
Btw, the “cool” Nets are 1-3

I'm coming back 4 months later to ask you 1 question and 1 question only, Phil.
If you would've been "thrilled" with the "10th seed"...
Then go ahead and tell us (all) what are your emotions currently telling you with the 6th (soon to be) 5th seed and only 3.0 games back of an NBA Top-5 Record?
Phil1C (right now)...

Not for nothing, but the 60 win guy should think twice about this...
The 3rd seed guy should think twice about this but that's a whole other story.

What are you talking about?
Philadelphia has now lost 2 in a row and the Knicks are RED HOT ON 🔥 and only 4.5 games back of them for the 3rd seed.
Philly goes into ONE SLUMP? And we're catching them.

Sixers have played .650 ball over 60 NBA games.
That is more than enough NBA games to establish a baseline of talent and performance.
If they go 11 and 11 the rest of the way and finish 50-32, Knicks would need to go 14-5 the rest of the way to tie, which would extend their recent run to 20-5 (.800).
Just for a tie. Make that 10-12 or 16-4 to win outright.
All of these things are possible.
None are probable.
Even less probable that that they both occur at the same time.

Yup and it's only because up until the All-Star break Philadelphia had a cupcake schedule that ranked 27th or 28th most easiest.
But after the All-Star break Philadelphia's SOS no longer became a walk in the park; it became the NBA's most difficult.
It's really just common sense.
Because now Philadelphia has already lost 2 in a row...
-6.5 to only -4.5 (just like that within the blink of an eye).
It's going to be fun going back and forth with you moving forward as the Knicks keep winning and the 76ers keep losing and I can't wait for your reaction once the lead goes from -4.5 to only -2.5 and within the (only) next 4-6 games played too
Philadelphia's schedule been a cakewalk up until the All-Star break vs. Absolutely brutal schedule post All-Star but for some reasons fans such as yourself rather try and correct me, rather than understand my viewpoint.
You'll see (heck you're already starting to see ala -6.5 to only -4.5 despite only 2.0 games played isn't lying).
Remember who told you the 76ers were going to drop in the Standings heading into All-Star Weekend. Me, that's who.

Dude, AGAIN...
SOS is accounted for. It isn't being ignored. It's part of he calculation.
Why do you need to keep claiming it is?

Show me what wins your computer calculators had the Knicks winning after 63 games and before the season started too.
Unless you can't?
Go take a hike about it.

That's not an answer.
Why are you getting belligerent?

I would've been "THRILLED" with an Eastern Conference 10th seed (as the final Play-In Team).
Okay, Phil. Thnx for reminding me again. Cool.

That's where you're wrong.
The Knicks are 9-1 previous 10 and also undefeated @ 7-0 since Hart and undefeated @ 4-0 since Mitch's return.
So who are you to say the Knicks lose another 5 games for "14-5" @ best?
Enlighten us.

So what’s the more accurate prediction. Knicks make playoffs as the 10th seed this season or Zach Wilson is the next Pat Mahomes?
