From here on in. No brainer. Make it happen
Knixkik @ 11/4/2022 9:33 PM
Obi at the very least. The shooting is a pleasant surprise.
franco12 @ 11/4/2022 9:33 PM
nope. we want slow ball and dribbling.

Reddish was plus 19. Randle can start at 5 obi 4 reddish 3 Barrett 2 Brunson 1

Back up hartenstein or Robinson grimes iq rose. Shouodve drafted a big guard or sf at 13

TheGame @ 11/4/2022 9:44 PM
Start Grimes and play Obi and Randle together for 15 mins a game and give Reddish 15 mins. Fournier is the odd man out

Not enough wing size on this team. Cam is the closest thing we have to a prototypical SF. Is it so much to ask for the Knicks to land a 6'10" SF that averages 20 8 and 5?

Absolutely. We have depth, but if we can trade guys to up-talent and prevent Thibs from doing stupid things.

Cam is way thin up top- he reminds a little of Shaun Livinston- he could well be our SG!

That is a great line up actually- we can switch off on just about everyone. I want to say Pat Riley saying he wanted 5 guys that are 6' 9".

Knixkik @ 11/4/2022 10:20 PM
I am really buying into Obi though for real. I needed the shooting to be for real for him to be a modern stretch 4 and I feel like it looks for real. The shot looks smooth and consistent. He doesn’t have any go-to moves one on one but it opens up the rest of his game.
BRIGGS @ 11/4/2022 10:57 PM
Reddish over grimes for now. It’s going to take time w grimes and pressure lower in unit 2.

Randle mismatch 5 man. Big enough to guard mostly shitty 5s in the nba. Obi stretch 4 but aggressive to hoop
Playing 5 out opens up Barrett and Brunson too
We have the players but will da coach c it or revert back

Rim protection over rated in a 3 point league. Use our c as back up and situational

Isn't that the statistic. Isn't that the game. I know having Mitchell on the floor impacts the game- but there are times where you don't see Mitch apparent in the game watching live, and then after you check the box score- and he is invisible there too.

How often do teams pull up for a wide open in stride 3pt shoot vs taking the simple, safe lay up.

Our 3pt defense could improve vastly with that line up.

Finally, especially the Randle, Obi, reddish, Barrett, Brunson

Honestly in todays nba that should be our starting lineup. Defense is somewhat overrated in todays nba but how is having obi and Randle worse then any line up with heart in it??? Like heart but no way dose her deserve minutes over obi

franco12 @ 11/5/2022 12:22 AM
Obi & Cam are like Bobby Portis- how about Portis? Great job there with the bucks, missed not keeping him. He produced good stuff for us.

It got the Celtics AND Warriors to the NBA finals last year and the only reason the Celtics didn’t win is bc the Warriors are stacked. They made it look like they can get by the Warriors in the beginning. Defense is absolutely needed. The problem is that we don’t have it.

There’s no weak spot on the bucks. All their centers are also well versed offensive players. Defense can be played by anyone willing to give effort.

SergioNYK @ 11/5/2022 10:23 AM
If the cHeat can bench Duncan Robinson and his contract, we can bench Fournier and his contract. Grimes and Reddish should man backup 2/3 spot.
GustavBahler @ 11/5/2022 10:45 AM
Obi yes, Cam no. When his game goes south, it really goes south. Would like to see more consistency from Cam, before he gets a promotion.
technomaster @ 11/5/2022 10:49 AM
I’m sold on Obi on being a strong role player - and he has even more potential if they can officially look for him on offense.

Not yet sold on Cam. He’s the big tease. Moments of brilliance then seems insignificant for stretches of games. Then when you’re about to go in a different direction, he has another significant game.

I’m hoping both of them can work out - though it’s a bit of a problem because there’s some overlap.

If you only had one or the other, the decision would be clear. Now it’s a balancing act.

Cam is ready now— grimes not yet. Give cam 5 games as starter. I like that we can switch him on to lead guards as well.
Fournier is a good player but not for our squad w Brunson at pg

BRIGGS @ 11/5/2022 10:56 AM
Randle just as big as Willis Reed
Let Randle play starting center. He’ll mismatch everyone and obi mobile 4. I said this last year

I dont see the consistency. Would rather give Fournier an opportunity to increase his trade value. Its low now, and benching him wont help. Gets paid a lot more than Cam, want to get a decent return in a trade. Probably wont as of now.

To hll with trade value--lets win games. I want Obi to start 4 and lets give Randle a good chance to play undersized 5. Reddish--lets let him go too. The way to consistency is by playing. Hes our only true SF and he was awesome on the D last night.
