Fournier is a good player but not for our squad w Brunson at pgI dont see the consistency. Would rather give Fournier an opportunity to increase his trade value. Its low now, and benching him wont help. Gets paid a lot more than Cam, want to get a decent return in a trade. Probably wont as of now.
To hll with trade value--lets win games. I want Obi to start 4 and lets give Randle a good chance to play undersized 5. Reddish--lets let him go too. The way to consistency is by playing. Hes our only true SF and he was awesome on the D last night.

Dont believe making Fournier a starter for a few more weeks is going to tank our playoff hopes. Would rather see Obi at the 3 and RJ at the 2, if Fournier is benched. Cam's game has been all over the place.

I do. Knicks have a small window of opportunity to make playoffs. Literally it will most likely come down to a few games at the end of season that’ll be the difference between being out, play-in, and playoffs.
Fournier literally is doing nothing but giving guards and forwards easy opportunities to blow past him. And he is barely contributing on offense.

The alternative is subbing in Cam sooner, if Fournier isnt playing well. A few splash plays shouldnt be enough to make Cam the starter. Brunson isnt what you would call a pass first PG. Not surprised its taking time for the offense to gel. The bad D had surprised me.

Grimes is the starter in place of Fournier.

Grimes is the starter in place of Fournier.
Id start Reddish heres why. Grimes is rusty and he still does not look 100%. Reddish is our best plus minus guy--hes shooting over 50% has also hit the three and gives us more diversity with his dribble drive. Let Grimes take Reddish role off bench for now--let Redish start and Fournier sit
Just give them each 25-30 minutes every night — that is 2 quarters + and you go from there but both players are guys that will give you a great style of play with a few bone head plays thrown in to frustrate you.
Cams defensive potential is very exciting - his length and deflection in the passing lanes.
I think last game showed if you want Randle/RJ on the floor together do it with Randle as small ball center and that opens things up - also let’s Julius put ball on the floor more against bigger slower defenders and Julius rebounded his ass off at center last night

Briggs and I were discussing making Cam the starter, got my wires crossed. Grimes strong D comes from his foot speed. He moves his feet very fast to stay in front of his man. He couldnt last night.
Dont know why Thibs didnt try getting him going with the second unit. Start Quick, as other posters have suggested. Would have been nice to see him start at the 2.

It’s a good thought. Interesting that Thibs started Grimes, surprised me.
Dont believe Grimes can generate offense like IQ can. Still believe backup PG is where Grimes can shine, with some work and PT.

Obi has moves. It’s just not game tested and he doesn’t have confidence putting the ball on the floor with Thibs always ready to pull him. There was a video short featuring Obi his draft year. There is more to his game he hasn’t shown yet

Obi has moves. He needs a coach and system that gives him room to grow.
Mitch/Cam/Obi/Quickley/Rose
That might be our most athletic lineup. Cam is 6'8, has a 7 foot wingspan, and has defended PFs in the past.
I see all day fastbreak opportunities.

Back up hartenstein or Robinson grimes iq rose. Shouodve drafted a big guard or sf at 13
Well based on what you wrote we certainly don't need another big guard with RJ and Grimes.

Yeah Portis was a nice big body, active off the bench. Definitely missed on that one. Should have kept him. Even just for his crazy eyes.
