had a great preseason (14.4 ppg, 5.2 apg, 61% shooting), then took an elbow to the face in his first regular season game - orbital fracture, surgery, missed a bunch of games.
back now, and in his last game had 10 points and 11 assists from the sg spot in a 20-point rout of the raptors (my favorite team to see LOSE)

Maybe if Williams is good, he makes SGA expendable and then we trade for him. Then we get a whole new set of regrettable circumstances.
We traded the 11 so we could get Brunson? Was that part of it? One game at a time. Win.

As would have Murray and DM. Brunson was a bargain compared to those two. It is what is. Williams is getting minutes were he'd not here. This is where we need to shed some assets like IQ who has been discussed only in rumor form.
The good ones are expensive.
I know Dumping Kemba came with a cost and we all knew better, but shit happens to all teams and winning puts it all to bed.
