Larry Brown thought there was a limit to his voice in an organization and 5 years was often the case.
Im not here to predict anything or any sense Thibs has reached any conclusion as such or he is burnt out. If so its not likely to be a public knowledge.
Teams in short order when a season ends the players get treatment and do exit interviews with coach and perhaps without. Some players are told what to work on, what their plans are if under contract, and perhaps off season plan to think about. Most take some time off. The yoot will return soon enough for work outs and perhaps ready for summer league. If not plan to return perhaps they are told this or what the schedule of consideration will be once free agency starts. Thats usually for agents.
But I suspect Houston20 is spot on that in short time a vote of confidence is given and the issue is put to bed if its to be.
If they were to fired thibs the time would be now but if there taking there time then thibs probably won’t be fired. I heard other messages board about jay wright being rumored but nobody knows that for sure plus jay wright has great life and only works 3 weeks year during march madness with cbs. If mike Malone and Taylor Jenkins wants time off for year and not coach then list of options decline.usually want coach before draft and free agency begins and with the suns situation taking for ever you don’t have time to waste.
houston20 wrote:If we don’t hear anything in the next 2 weeks by June 16 2025 thibs not fired then he is going coach next season. You want have your coach before the draft June 25 even though only have 1 pick in second round but you don’t want to take to long to get your coach. Look at suns it almost 2 months to get coach and there season ended in April.
Well, you were spot on
This thread needs to be retitled to "We Appreciate you Thibs"

Yep
Which team in the NBA could use Thib’s strong guidance? I’d say Sacramento.

You are subtly asking for the thread title to be changed to Hire Thibs?
This is what I am reading

Dude deserves a job even if it isn't here.
He would do wonders in Detroit

Perry did say at his press conference that he was looking for a defensive minded coach.
Makes sense for him to go back to Chicago

What are the bulls these days? Billy Donovan a good coach. That roster has been wonky for a few years now.
Detroit? Bickerstaff has done a fantastic job.
I think Sac would be a good place but does he really want to start over and grind again?
Perhaps a advisor role of some sort? Go to the Belichek school of trophy wife and have a ball!!

Thibs will coach til his wheels fall off. I think any young or rebuilding team looking to establish a culture should hire him and have him repeat what he did here.

= Utah?
Washington needs him badly

Might make it more likely that the Draft Pick hits next year. Won’t tank games.

Yeah, they need to maintain top 8 in the draft next year or we keep their pick.
