Very frustrating to see thibs play the cold hand (rj).

The refs were out of control

Certainly appeared that way

I think we need to do a nunn, Westbrook for Randle, Rose,
reddish, Fournier, protected first and start over.

This team stinks, very few keepers, let’s stop pretending.

Tank and acquire an asset.

The front office has drafted poorly and made mediocre moves let’s be honest

When the Knicks, Giants and Tar Heels all lose it is a lot of suck fookers, and a lot of drinking
Rookie @ 11/25/2022 11:43 PM
And…. Mitch has to be the worst ball screen pnr companion on gods green earth. I swear if RJ makes a layup and Mitch sets a screen I’m going to drop dead of a heart attack
Rookie @ 11/25/2022 11:52 PM
But what I love the most is when Randle decides to play defense a couple of times in the 4th Q and he’s actually dominant at it. Like WTF where has that been all game
GustavBahler @ 11/25/2022 11:59 PM
Only caught the second half. Mitch used to catch almost everything tossed up near the rim, and throw it down. It was a regular occurence. It was a big reason Mitch got the league's attention when he first started playing pro ball. That and many blocks. Feels like the qualities that made Mitch such a keeper arent there any more.

Dont know what the deal with RJ is. The things required to take his game to the next level dont require freakish athleticism, just practice. Only seeing incremental improvement. At a pace that wont do the team any favors.

The best plays I watched Grimes make in the 2nd half were setting up other teammates. Martin may have decreed by royal proclimation that Grimes will never play backup PG. I hope the FO defies him and gives Grimes a shot.

Randle's game probably would have made him an elite player in another era. But not this one. He's still talented and can make some incredible shots. But Randle doesnt really gel with the starters IMO. Not yet anyway. He could exel on another team, that was better coached.

Reading a lot of posts about blowing the team up. Believe thats a bad idea. 2-3 players would be enough to change the trajectory of this squad. Not a complete rebuild.

Who would you want running your team?

RJ or Elfrid

East pick for me………

Now I’m not saying Obi is better but…..there was a stretch where Obi was in the game and we had a 10 - 14 pt lead with Randle and grimes on the bench. As soon as Randle came in for Obi, the teams offense and defense slowly went downhill. Was it all Randles fault of course not. But ironically this happens a lot which is why I said this team just runs different when Obi and IQ are in. I believe Sims was in the game as well. Yes Sims is undersized but sims Obi iq increases our team energy with momentum swinging plays. Something we don’t get from the starting unit (RJ and Randle) since they rely only on their shooting to impact the game. When shots aren’t falling, there’s no impact. Not the case with sims, Obi and iq. And recently Mitch has looked slower due to injuries.

I’m excited to at least see these guys hit the floor again (sims Obi iq) and see if the momentum increases or decreases whenever Randle sits for a while or after he comes into the game. Yes there are times I’m like man glad Randle is in the game. But then like yesterday I’m like we was up 10 then Randle came in and it’s a tie game where we now need Randle to dig us out of this hole that was created when he came in. Granted there was no saving needed when he came in the game smiling and happy. He even took and made a quick 3 off the bench which might have been what caused the downfall. After that Randle took a heat check 3 multiple times and bricked it. He let his man blow by him just like RJ did in this game. The team went from momentum plays with second unit to depleting plays that kills momentum. There’s a mix of players that work (buried behind the starting unit) and some don’t (they are in the starting unit). Either the FO needs to make some decisions or there will be fingers pointed everywhere including at the coach.

Frustrating loss. The zebras were beyond biased and just awful - 40 FT attempts to our 20. Even Breen who normally defends them was very critical.

But we had our chances. Brunson, who awesome again, usually hits that lefty floater. Give Portland credit. Jerami Grant and Simons were unstoppable. Hart killed us on the glass too.

Really liked how Randle played. Had some nice defensive stops and hit that timely three to start the OT. Sims once again finished the game and gave us a spark. Second straight game by IQ shooting the ball well. Robinson looks rusty but that was to be expeceted.

I was hoping RJ snapped out of his shooting slump against OKC but he struggled again - 6/22, 1/7 from three . He looks so stiff driving to the basket and has no lift once he is there. It's frustrating to watch! He's easily been the most disappointing player this season. He was supposed to take a step in year 4 and he's shitting the bed.

The refs were atrocious which was unusual because I felt like we’d had good calls for majority of season

Funny thing. Had Brunson hit the last shot in regulation our reactions would have been completely different.

To the average fan and media yes. For me, my comment remains the same.

If we had cam and coach was savy enough to sub cam in at the right time, he’s the only player on the roster that can match grants length and athleticism. We need more players like cam and grant. Long two way multiple position wings. SFs who can guard 2-4

blkexec @ 11/26/2022 11:03 AM
We have a deep enough team to matchup with everybody. But thibs and most coaches I’m guessing rather have one line up for the entire season. I don’t think our one lineups are good enough. The triangle remains every game (JB, RJ, Randle). The other 2 positions should be based on matchups. So for this game as an example, I would’ve liked to see Cam on Grant. Other games without a true center or with a mobile center /PF, we use Sims who’s more mobile defensively.
