That would give us a double PG set and would be very hard to match up with.

Naw, I don't want to double down on the crappy backcourt defense. I'd rather just give Grimes the shot and see how it plays out.
If I'm Leon I'm never calling Ainge ever again.

This was the blue print. Grimes was hurt and Evan go the not and chance to keep it. Veteran call.
Evan might not be happy but I'd guess it was spelled out before the season and his response was very good.
BTW,is sexton a disappointment to the Jazz? How many picks does Jazz have?
There is more to this but I don't have time to sort it out:
2023 first-round pick — own
2023 first-round pick — from HOU, BKN or PHI*
2023 first-round pick — from MIN (unprotected)
2024 first-round pick — owed to OKC
2025 first-round pick — own
2025 first-round pick — from MIN (unprotected)
2025 first-round pick — from CLE (unprotected)
2026 first-round pick — own (swap with MIN**)
2027 first-round pick — own
2027 first-round pick — from MIN (unprotected)
2027 first-round pick — from CLE (unprotected)
2028 first-round pick — own
2029 first-round pick — own
2029 first-round pick — from MIN (unprotected)
2029 first-round pick — from CLE (unprotected)
Its a lot. Can they really fit this all in? Not my issue.
My first instinct is if we did not like DM because he was small and a defensive liability we really want to burn a pick for sexton?
Evan is not hurting us on the bench this year.
I look at it this way
we prob dont need 3 picks
we dont need fourmier
IQ is inconsistent
for a player that is coming back on and has all star upside and hes young making 17mm$ Jalen is kind of a PG so is sexton so together that gives us ample ball movement but overall our talent increases--we get much more explosive. Im not sure sitting at position 12 in the east losing all these home games is gonna cut it. Id do it

Ok. We don't need three picks. You know how it goes down, We'll draft thee players, then do some crazy ass Brock Aller shit, y'all lose it, then a few days later it gets explained.
I thought Sexton would be a good flier but we got Brunson.
For the money, I give Grimes the opportunity at the 2. One of Drose or IQ is expendable. Im not attached to either. Not a blame thing, Just looking at reality.
We have Rokas also. Not sure he comes without a promise to play. I can see a two year with player option on the back end so he could bolt. If a trade chip, thats ok too.
Same for Deuce. You have to show something in the first three years.
RJ did. So did Mitch. RJ needs to figure that shot out or he'll be miserable.
Nah sexton aint it for us but like where your head is at. We need to figure out how to route RJ to LA

Hes ready to breakout. Hed make us better. Were not taking 3 draft picks--we dont even take 1.

RJ, Brunson, Sexton is the triple Jose Calderon of backcourts OMG ole all day with Randle literally rolling out the red carpet.
We really need a super defender that can shoot the 3 in the backcourt with Brunson. Sexton isn't that guy
