I know he has a nagging injury but I agree he’s not really helping us. That passing ability that was supposed to unlock the second unit hasn’t been there. His 3pt shooting in nonexistent. And he routinely gets beat on the glass by anyone more athletic. It’s getting hard to justify playing him over sims right now.
I could have sworn I read a Briggs thread about how great Hart was.
Sims athletic talent & big-body spose to start the Knicks season as the backup center.
Sims should've been a top 15 pick in the draft.
Sims were spose to replace Taj Gibson's pick n roll with D.Rose or Quickley in the 2nd unit.
What kind of coaching staff don't have MitchRob, Sims, IHart, Randle, and Toppin setting good screens & picks to get open shots, or guards defending centers & PF down low.
IHart is best used as a PF .. the Knicks coaching staff need to listen to IHart girlfriend LOL
His passing ability has been a revelation every single time he does it. I have watched every game so far and we have been through a quarter of the season. His passing ability has been used a handful of times. It's a crime really. The problem is that in order to unlock his passing he needs plays to be run. He needs give and go. He needs backdoor cuts. We have 0, zip ,diddley squat of such plays in our play book. He is used for handoffs and that little push shot from the paint. That's it. It's upsetting really
Maybe the Defense is packing it and the cuts are getting closed?
You guys blame the symptoms but rarely blame the circumstances of what the defense gives.
They are giving us the 3. We are not executing. Drose did not play early on with Hart.
Obi is not getting released or is his man covering him? Second unit has not looked good as we’d like at times.
Sims looks like he about to cry on and off the court. He can jump and his foot speed is excellent.
Harts passing was opened up when he was a long ball threat. From what I see he is not doing that. If his coverage is backing down then he has less lane to pass on.
I know Sims boyish looks has garnered sympathy and his high wire act is awesome but his offense is really not that good. He is getting better.
Players play thru injury and get better.
I do recall early season post that Briggs was on the Hart train and other promoting him to starter.
Don’t fret, Sims will get time. He looks like someone stole the bike he got for christmas.
You guys are warm hearted. I like that. Some of you have that fatherly instinct and subliminally want to take Sims in and shelter him from the evils. So does your wife or teenage daughters.

He doesnt.. he will be fine. He does need to fix that jumper and make it reliable. If that happens he's a good rotation guy and very young.
