They can move on from Fournier and Randle. They have draft capital to do it, and we heard there has been neutral offers for Randle. RJ is 22 so I would say keep him around.
Firing Thibs is the first step. Being willing to play the kids (and Brunson) is the second step.
They keep doing patchwork stuff and nobody is doing them any favors to get better.
Agreed even if this team is firing on all cylinders, we are not a championship contender. We should play the kids and try and get a top 5 pick . We just need more talent, we have some nice pieces to build around in Brunson, quick, obi, grimes, sims. Everyone else should go so we can clear some space and get a top pick
Huge huge mistake bot drafting jalen Williams. We had 2 picks. One to help get Brunson the other for Williams.
we will just miss franchise talent in the draft. take that to the bank. If Dallas is in the lottery, they will win or move up, we will be left watching.

Getting Brunson wasn’t easy at all because they had to dump salary. I am surprised they came away with future picks. Anyhow it’s not like Jalen would get minutes playing for Thibs…

It ain't easy moving up in the NBA. Sterling had a nice formula in LA. Tank and trade. Its about luck and having enough picks to make your own luck.

We had picks 11-12 people b this draft at one point — We traded both.
We trade for drafts picks to use the picks to get rid of our own signings.

Armchair GMs knew a year ago that Randall had to be moved long before this festering depreciation. Swallow the cost. Cut bait. Period Fournier. Cut bait. MR. Cut bait. Picks undesirables, whatever. Shake the lockerroom.
Jazz is a perfect picture of what to do with a team that's just isn't good enough to win it all. Much better team than then the Knicks. But also much more developed , having 2 all stars. They just traded them for picks. Just like that. In order to tank. Even with the current draft rules...... Fu$kin a. Then there is us trying to do it the Celtics way.
2 factors not talked about much
- teams always play hard at the Garden. It eliminates home court advantage
-the league keeps getting better. A player of brunson’s caliber would make a difference 2 years ago but not so much this year.
Obviously Knicks just need to get better though.

Who hasn’t been given a chance this season? Thibs went from locking Fournier to putting him at the backend for Grimes and Reddish. Obi has had many chances to show that he can be a threat on offense. He hasn’t. The kids are that good and that’s okay.

That's not an accurate statement. Obi has gone to the bench, even when he has performed well. I can think of one game where he got some extended time without having a good offensive game, but he seemed to be in the flow and the team was playing good team ball.
Obi is the giant flag for what Thibs has gotten wrong or not done well.
We need a high lottery pick, we have to lose to give ourselves a chance of that. Everything else is denial.

At the end of the year, 99% are mediocre and still looking to figure out how to win a chip.
Teams that were right there usually don't have the same level of success the following year.
I am cool with wanting the team to be better. Voicing opinions. But this knee jerk whining just shows the level of unrealistic expectations most fans have.
Did you really expect this team to be running the Bucks and Mavs out of the building?
Expect mostly second and third year average players to be top of a strong East? People want the youngins to play but cry over growth issues. Don't get it. Can't respect the Fire Thibs, replace FO, Owner, trade all the players pontification. Just spells a bunch of sore loser mentality. Why I hate Jet fans. 
Truth is that this team was and is mediocre. If you thought differently, blame yourself. Let's continue to improve and hope we get a couple of players that are elite. Until then, fans will be overstating average FA's and draft picks. Then getting disappointed after 24 games and throwing fits on fan forums

RJ's failure to evolve is the most depressing. They are in big trouble

People are just frustrated and I am too. They have been bad for so long and there is still no end to it in sight. How many more seasons do they have to be bad?

There has to be a reciprocation of loyalty here. I pay for single team NBA pass for the Knicks, before that I was paying for MSG until I moved. I show loyalty by buying a pass. I question wether the team even give a crap. They put out such nonsensical product out there. The Knicks biggest problem is that they never really had loyalty to the fans. They can’t develop stars and they can’t even get true superstars in trades or free agency.
They sell tickets half the fans scalp the ticket to some guy visiting from Europe, China or where ever just so they can see Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. I’m just tired brother of the Knicks there is no wow factor left. The Wow factor has been dead for 23 years now.
