Grimes is not scoring but his defense in the starting unit makes a big difference. Once Grimes’ offense comes around, this team can take off (assuming RJ does not keep shooting us out of games).

McBride's defense is infections. And I agree, ball movement and defense are better without Randle and RJ.

What do you mean? Randle plays great defense. This impressive defense earns him all his high minutes.
Good to bounce back after yesterday and end the losing streak but the zebras made this game really ugly with their stupid traveling calls! I highly doubt the league office instructed this crew to call that many. It killed the flow of the game and made it annoying to watch! Just so dumb!
Holding a team to 81 points on 35% shooting and 8/35 from three is as good as it gets defensively. Cavs missed some shots but credit to the defense. Much better effort and sense of urgency. Grimes made it really tough on Spida, who I honestly thought was gonna go for 50. Gotta give love to Deuce and IQ too. They both played excellent man to man defense. IQ offensively was really good in that first half too. He's played better.
RJ almost made me throw the remote in that first half with his stupid turnovers and dumb shots but kudos to him for coming on strong in that 3rd quarter. Randle was alright but his lazy D on Love in the 4th was pissing me off. Robinson was huge with some clutch boards and altered a lot of shots. Hartenstein rebounded well too.
Brunson had some clutch plays. Hit the fade on Spida when he flopped and found Randle for a dunk.
Interesting that Reddish got a DNPCD. I mean he was beyond awful against Dallas but so was everyone else. And why don't Randle and RJ ever get punished for poor play? Not like those guys are established stars who earned that status. Shit like that makes me question Thibs and if I do that imagine how the players feel. Nobody on this team should be treated like a star!
You see effort that was put forth tonight and it really shines a light on the lack of overall effort in MANY games this year.
Enjoyed seeing guys making the extra effort, rotations and close outs tonight.

Yep sarcasm, the only reason Grimes are in the starter lineup is because Randle Barrett Brunson are three players that don't defend well on the defensive-end. Which we notice this weekend.
This time last year, D.Rose kept telling our senile coach Thibs to play Deuce McBride.
The experience Deuce McBride would have now about NBA opponents if coach Thibs would've let Deuce backup PG Burks last season.
In the vid .. why are all the Knicks collapsing to the paint area when the Cavs have 10 seconds left on the shot clock leaving no one to protect the perimeter. Plus the only Knick defended the paint against opponents are MitchRob.

Naw, the Mavs game ruined my day. I didn't even bother watching the Cavs. Glad they won. Got to take 'em when they come. Doesn't change the fact that this team is trash.

Notice how effective the defense looks when teams miss the open shots? Go from never holding anyone to under 100 to 81. If this happened more times this season people would assume we had some amazing defense when it is just we pack the paint and other teams missed the open shots. The million travelling calls helped also.

might be the worst scouting ever... Grimes is a fantastic athlete with an explosive first step. Go read about his combine etc or just watch him hang with the elite athletes of the game. Not very athletic?
I also remember them doing well last season. They killed our draft pick position when they got playing time at the same time.
