Also its times like these where I don't care if teams are down players. Every team will be down players at some point. Now is our turn.
We lucky it is not worse.
Are we bringing up a forward from Westchester or trading for a back up 4 ? Who knows we trade for a quality young back up 4 we later trade Obi and some picks for a starting wing.

I think this is something our front office needs to get more recognition for. They have mostly found durable players. Over the course of a season, injuries make a huge difference.
Kind of weird watching the Knicks win comfortably 4 times in a row. Things get iffy down the stretch if the games are close. The Knicks are showing a lot of patience in maintaining those leads. Now that JB has made the starters more potent on offense, the second string can get by on stingy defense and opportunistic offense.

Off topic but yeah… he’s not ready
I don’t think that’s right. He’s ready to play, still needs work though. He shortens games with his defense. Takes time off the other teams shot clock. He and Grimes both make some young player mistakes but they are hounding that ball. I’m not giving up on that because he’s a little nervous when he gets the ball. He will be fine.
Exactly. He’s ready to lockdown his man and help the team increase their defensive intensity. They won 4 str8. Is he ready to get JB mins and JBs contract? Of course not. But since when a terrible franchise who’s been a laughing stock for years get picky on who’s ready 🤣. The question should be are players ready to come here? Deuce is fine and I like how thibs is subbing him in and out without over exposing his weakness’s on offense. Excellent job by thibs. He’s fine as a backup. The question is will IQ be ready if JB is down? Will thibs turn to Rose or Cam now? Deuce will play his normal backup roll. And I believe his defensive impact will cover up any offensive weaknesses. Plus he’s surrounded by gunners like RJ who would be happy to take all the shots, along with IQ.
This guy dropping fact after fact in this rant.

They should still give him the week off.

Agree 100% with the bold. I agree with most of what you said but I needed to highlight the bold.

I can't think of one funny hat wearing combo forward who's still in the market.

I would not mind Melo off the bench for a few minutes while Obi is out. If his defense starts to hurt us he can go because keeping the defense this good is my main priority. Our shooting is not good enough to also have bad defense.
You can tell I am back to liking this team because it feel like I am half the posts in this thread lol. It feels good to like my favorite team again.

?
26 to 10 in 8 days is crazy.
Nice win. But I’m ready to play a healthy team now.
Anyone else notice RJ's body language, game, after Randle was ejected? He looked like the player we thought we were going to see this season. He was making high difficulty takes to the rim, the kind he never makes. Better leader.
I agree with those who say that one of them should be moved. Leaning towards Randle.

I agree. Not to toss cold water on these victories. But they were some opponents that were ripe for us beating.
Still have to, and they have done impressively.
Weirdest stat of the game:
Mitch +/- -3, Hart +/- +18
Certainly didn't feel that way, watching the game...

Yeah. RJ plays better when he’s the man the team leans on. Been like that his entire career even at duke with Zion on the team. I think they can play together now that we have defense at the point of attack.

Not taking anything against them, but they’ve been playing injured teams so far. The effort is there but this run needs to be tested more.
It would be great regardless if they are still .500 or above by the time Brunson comes back.

This is one of the reasons I would like to see him play with a mix of starters/bench more when Randle and Brunson are sitting. He should be used the most to stagger to ensure that one of Randle/RJ/Brunson are always on the floor.
Notice haters play the “other team had players out” card. Like we didn’t tonight? Geez, you’d think for a second they prefer it when we lose….
