Notice haters play the “other team had players out” card. Like we didn’t tonight? Geez, you’d think for a second they prefer it when we lose….

26 to 10 in 8 days is crazy.

Not taking anything against them, but they’ve been playing injured teams so far. The effort is there but this run needs to be tested more.

It would be great regardless if they are still .500 or above by the time Brunson comes back.

no one cared when Mitch was out.
No one cared while Grimes was out.
No one will care while Brunson is out.
So I really don't care when the other team is missing plyers.
Injuries are a part of the game.

We lucky it is not worse.

They should still give him the week off.

You have the wrong attitude, they need to give Jalen the rest of the season off and trade Randle. Sneak development tank.

I can't think of one funny hat wearing combo forward who's still in the market.

?

Think Honey Nut Cheerios

RJ is the foil for Grimes

What happened to Grimes 3 point shot? He was automatic last year

Probably just rounding out his rhythm. Dude has missed a bunch of time from end of last season and this end of offseason. Taking on more offensive responsibility and always guarding best opponent (and actually doing a good job at it). Just gotta get used to it all.

He has been absolutely worth keeping out of Donovan trade IMHO

Off topic but yeah… he’s not ready

I don’t think that’s right. He’s ready to play, still needs work though. He shortens games with his defense. Takes time off the other teams shot clock. He and Grimes both make some young player mistakes but they are hounding that ball. I’m not giving up on that because he’s a little nervous when he gets the ball. He will be fine.

Exactly. He’s ready to lockdown his man and help the team increase their defensive intensity. They won 4 str8. Is he ready to get JB mins and JBs contract? Of course not. But since when a terrible franchise who’s been a laughing stock for years get picky on who’s ready 🤣. The question should be are players ready to come here? Deuce is fine and I like how thibs is subbing him in and out without over exposing his weakness’s on offense. Excellent job by thibs. He’s fine as a backup. The question is will IQ be ready if JB is down? Will thibs turn to Rose or Cam now? Deuce will play his normal backup roll. And I believe his defensive impact will cover up any offensive weaknesses. Plus he’s surrounded by gunners like RJ who would be happy to take all the shots, along with IQ.

Agree 100% with the bold. I agree with most of what you said but I needed to highlight the bold.

Deuce McBride high IQ on the defensive end of the court alongside Grimes or Quickley high IQ has broken down four of the Knicks last opponents' offense by fronting the dribbler to pass the ball as soon as ball pass midcourt, while protecting the passing lane to upset the offense or a Knicks steal.

McBride is our Charlie Ward ....
As for the Knicks offense .. Randle & Barrett & Brunson decision making calls all the shots on the Knicks offensive possession. No matter how well Quickley has enlightened us with his little play making skills and passing skills alongside D.Rose in the backcourt, Quickley haven't had the chance to improve his playmaking skills in none of this season games in coach Thibs offense .. D.Rose either.

Clean @ 12/11/2022 11:42 PM

Look at that ball movement and I also noticed 4 out of the 5 players were drafted by us.

You know what is even more wild than the below? The fact that the Knicks don’t even have anyone as close in talent to those missing players on any of those teams and yet we still beat most of them or have a similar record.

Kemet @ 12/12/2022 12:04 AM
Well, tonight 112-99 Knicks WIN has us on a 4 game win streak that put the Knicks at the 7th seed in the East. And yes the 14-13 Knicks are an above .500 NBA Team.
I still say, the Knicks roster are a two unit lineup rotation team throughout the first half of season to have an above .500 season building team chemistry".

Bad news .. Coach Thibs rotation maybe reduced to 8 players the next few games .. Sad!
A Kings player fell hard on Brunson ankle that may have Brunson out the next few games.

If we take away half of those 8 wins our record would be 10-17
Yep, this really is Tom Thibs final season as a Knicks

While I was watching the game last night, it occurred to me that the lineup and rotation was one high level, 2-way SF away from a deep playoff team IF Randle was as consistent as he has been over the last 5-6 games, and there is no doubt that is a gigantic Big IF.

RJ is literally getting wide open 3's and drives to the basket with all of the other guys on court doing their thing.

You swap out RJ for prime Paul George and IMHO this is a team that has shot to be a deep playoff team.

Four in a row!!! I really like how we've played the last 4 games. Big kudos to Thibs and this coaching staff and of course the players! Slowing the pace has done wonders! We look like a real Thibs coached team that defends! We held the Kings to 99 points on below 40% shooting and 10/39 from three!
Very fun to watch! Watching 130 scores with no defense is not real basketball and not enjoyable to me!!

I'm not going to shit on Randle for getting tossed out. It happens. It just sucks cause he was on his way to a 40 point night. Something about the Kings just irks him cause he owns that team for some reason. But he's played really well during this win streak. I really like how he's coming out strong in the first quarter and setting the tone. He's shooting with a lot of confidence and taking smart shots too. I loved how he didn't force it in the 3rd when the Kings started doubling him and he found guys for easy buckets.

Great game by RJ! He took command once Randle got tossed and Brunson got hurt. Took smart shots and he's finishing a lot better. Had some nice steals too. Robinson's blocked three on Monk was hilarious! Like a dad swatting his kids shot in the backyard.

Fingers crossed Brunson doesn't miss too much time! I'd be content getting one in Chicago.
