Think we have several good ones to pick from.
For me its:
1)Grimes. Feel he has the best chance to be elite out of all of our draft picks. Just a solid piece to have on a playoff team. Can hit the three, create and play defense. Was a steal at where we got him. Think with time he is my H2O2. Think he can be a Booker type if he adds mid range game.
2) IQ. Like Grimes, like the value for draft position and the ceiling. Think he just needs to be given a chance to run an offense inorder to learn the things I feel he is still missing. Ie. When do be aggressive vs when to facilitate. Reading the floor and game situation. Kid already is one of the best in the floor. On both sides.
3) Tie for third with Randle/JB. See them both as what teams need. Which is tough, gritty, physical alphas that are not afraid to take charge and can take over a game for spells. JB can get off a shot around the basket at will. Tough as nails and loves the game. Randle is a beast. Can also shoot the three okay and demands double teams. Often the best player in the floor in offense. Feel they can both be solid playoff pieces if surrounded by shooters and a true number one. Also feel they have lots of room for improvement therefore can reach even higher ceilings.
honestly I'm not too attached to a single guy on the roster. As such I really get into good team play. It's not a pretty team to watch, but over this 5 game winning streak we 100% have an identity.
We play D. We beat yo ass on the boards. We take it to the hole. That's your Knicks.
Probably what I love the most tho is when there are these wild combos of our kids on the floor.
Vs. the Kings had 4 guards (McBride/IQ/Grimes/RJ) and Mitch and we were flying around making plays.
I find myself rooting extra for Randle because of his haters.
I love Brunson's toughness.
I appreciate RJ's perseverance. Dude was literal trash and just stuck with it and is playing really well as well.
I love watching how Thibs breaks a gasket any time his players are wronged. This guy will lay in traffic for his players and they know it.
I love how our role players are impact guys, not fillers. Mitch, Grimes, IQ... these guys are growing as players
I love watch the chemistry build nightly. They are playing for each other
I LOVE listening to Clyde and Breen. Knicks basketball is fun again.
Most all I am enjoying the process. Its Randle(28), Brunson (26) and a bunch of dudes 24 or under and we have been crying for this for years.

Can't argue with any of this
Brunson - Love having a PG who can actually play! And he's tough!
RJ - We drafted him so I have soft spot for him. I like his character and his work ethic.
Obi - We also drafted him. Love his energy and dunks!
Also like Robinson, Grimes, IQ, Deuce and Sims. Dislike Randle and Fournier. No opinion on Rose, Hartenstein or Reddish.

easily his biggest asset athletically is his first step. He can blow by slower guys and can put it on the floor on a close out and take it to the rim and that's why we winning. He makes the right play every time. Its wild
I was trying to think of where the re-draft would be for a guy like Grimes and it's ahead of where Bouknight, Primo, Duarte were drafted at #10-13.
Different positions but Grimes is probably a better prospect than Davion Mitchell?

Way to kill my thread. lol
I remember watching the Knicks as a kid with Ewing, Oak, Maze and Starks. Remember how many dumb mistakes they made (Especially Starks and Maze and Oak when they lost their tempers) and how those around me would be cursing at the TV. But it was fun watching them tough out so many frustrating wins. Feels the same right now. We have several players that have lots of talent. All frustrating at times but they have a lot of fight in them and are coming up with wins. You can sense the potential in many of them.

Your #5 is awesome. Everyone in the rotation can play. No slouches/stiffs. I mean our THIRD STRING center can spot start and we would be fine. When was that ever possible before?

YES... like every starter and every bench player. Every time there's a sub and new guy comes in its like "that guy can do some shit" and its just making the games so fun to watch

No Moochie Norris or Lee Nailon on this roster!
1) Mitch Robinson - I've been watching this guy transform and always liked him. He catches a lot of shit around here for what he is not, but the guy brings his lunchbox with him into the paint every night. He is the longest tenured Knick - which, I know isn't saying much, but he has lasted here while others have been moved on. I honestly believe his impact is not even remotely reflected in his numbers and that he could be a 20 and 15 guy somewhere else. The fact that he is here busting his ass on the block is a testament to who he is. He's my favorite Knick.
2) Brunson - He's not perfect, but man, he leaves it all on the court every night. I applaud that effort. His size/length are the only thing you can really hate on, but when you see his contested shots, he is after his matchup all the time. I know its a transition from having Doncic drawing the attention of the defense to being the attention of the defense, but he is taking it in stride. Watching him break his opponent down gets me giddy. I'm a fan.
3) This Randle - There is good and bad. I get it. That Randle, no so much. This Randle that plays with joy, that is muscling the ball through the paint, that is playing staunch defense, that is (mostly) not overdribbling the ball, this guy is someone I truly love watching. This Randle is a legitimate force to be reckoned with. This Randle is a just a few seconds of reading the opponent away from being triple double Randle instead of 30 and 10 Randle. 20 10 and 10 Randle is an MVP. But he needs to read the defense just a little better. This Randle is among my favorite players.
SO GOOD. I think Hart does this type of thing all the time too.

We need to get Grimes more involved in the offense regularly. He could be the #2/#3 scorer we are looking for.
My bad Hofstra. Hope I didn’t come off as being too sensitive. My wife reminded me why I was like that today and it’s nothing to do with the Hofstra police or anybody in this forum. In fact I use this forum to release frustration and relax at the same time. Eventhough I still think the attention by you is unnecessary, it’s an open forum and your free to speak and say whatever you want, even if it’s all false 😂.

Like I said on our redundant conversation about Randles ejection.
It's all just opinions. My sarcastic sense of humor is easily disliked.
At the end of the day this is all shits and giggles for most of us.
Reason why I mess with guys that take this too seriously. And at those that seem to be fixated on trolling. Especially when try to put their opinions over facts.
Think you are a true fan. Two true fans don't have to agree.
