Looks like we dodged a bullet with Lonzo. I wanted the Knicks to sign him.
Cant get stoked about our best scoring option also being a liability in crunch time. If we can get a good return, this would be the time to trade Randle.
Trade Randle! Now there's an idea!
Hope the FO is open to the idea.
Who would YOU trade him for?

Gotta throw in Bullock, Kemba, and Theo Pinson to make salaries match.

Funny how guys that want him traded don't have an answer for the other part of the equation.
You can't get rid of your BEST player without having someone that can replace his production.

You speak so dismissively of people who wanted him fired. Yet you ignore that the changes he has finally made is the changes they/we wanted him to make for months now and his refusing to make those obvious changes is the reason why they wanted him fired. You would think the people who knew the right course of action from the beginning would be listened to more but I guess that is not how things work.

This can't be the end game though right?
Your perspective is that you KNEW the right answers a long time ago, you were much smarter than the coach and everyone pro involved, because look, it's working out now?
This is your look into the world? It's just that simple?

I am part of the fire Thibs chorus here. I didn't know the right moves necessarily to make - but I did know we could do a whole lot better.
And I'm still worried about RJ and his development, though the last couple games he's played like the player he can be and should be as the 3rd pick.
Maybe guys finally started to listen. Maybe Thibs tried a different approach - but putting McBride out there has been huge, and tightening the rotation- which I knew was likely a problem- and part of that is roster construction where we got a lot of guys that are good at some things, but none are clear cut better.
And when we get pummeled in the first round, assuming we make it, I'm going to criticize the idea that this roster as constructed can be anything better than a marginal 500 team.
But the games are a heck of a lot more enjoyable.
And if they lose tonight, blame me, I finally switched my game picker to a victory.

This post ignores reality.
Thibs won COY with Knicks yet people questioning why "he took so long to make changes they/we wanted". You can't make this shit up.
I am good friends with someone in the FO. Gonna remind him to check with the UK board first before making any future team decisions.
What move exactly did we/they force him to do?
Grimes was penciled in to have major impact because of the chance THIBS gave him last year.
IQ has been good defensively and was given a chance right away in his first year by? THIBS.
Deuce has been great off the bench but played 13 of 52 minutes Wednesday and cats acting like he is the sole reason for our defensive improvement.
Guess Thibs was wrong not to give Frank and Knox more minutes as well.

Two names, Draymond Green and Quinn Snyder. Been mentioning their names all season. Green, pre and post "the punch". But that ship has likely sailed. For this season anyway. With Green's game getting back to where it was, and Curry out. Snyder is available, as far as I know.
You wanted names, you got names.
To keep you both honest, this is what I wrote...

Wasnt suggesting that Randle be moved without a good deal in place.
That sounds nothing like what you were implying that I was saying. You make Randle sound like the best thing since sliced bread, and question his trade value at the same time.
More than a few posters questioned Randle's trade value this season. Said it couldnt be raised. I wasnt one of them. I argued that if Randle can get his game back, by the first trade deadline. That there should be interest. I still believe that.
Who wants out, who is considered expendable by other teams..dont know. Thats why Id like to see the FO test the market and find out.

You really think I mean someone from the FO to check here? Sometimes the right answer is the simple one. I was clearly talking about posters on this site who even after what we wanted improved the team are still dismissive of our opinion because we wanted Thibs gone. I was literally speaking directly to a poster. So I have no idea where you got anything involving the front office as I never even mentioned them.
I will continue to say my opinions and if Thibs is doing good I will praise him for it and if he is doing bad I will say so. It's better than changing my opinions depending on what Thibs does or does not do.

"Gold Stars" was coined by your fellow Thibs bashing buddy for how "right" all along you all have been. We just enjoy repeating it. Funny, you seem hurt by "dismissive" posts yet you claim "we" "believe whatever Thibs does is right." That is pretty simplistic and, uh, dismissive. And wrong of course. I'll speak only for myself here -- my point is that perhaps Thibs knew what he was doing in developing these kids. Your (and others') point is he didn't and you knew better all along (hence the gold stars). I choose to side with the knowledge of a professional NBA coach who was COY year before last over bipolar Knicks fans. And whatever the process it's paying off now.
By all means continue to state your opinions. But I suggest you thicken your skin when the opinion that you are full of s#!t comes back at you.

I have not problem with the Randle/Brunson/Barrett attack, but other guys ARE getting looks and the chance of a big game from IQ/Grimes/Mitch/Sims/Deuce/Hart gets me fired up, and I feel like ANY one of them can just start doing stuff, ESPECIALLY when the 3 have it going

This is not it at all. Not even close.
The thought process is that there are probably a lot of other good reasons to not just swap in guys like McBride or Grimes into play immediately in their NBA careers. And I think it's not a stretch to also add that without the buildup over the past year - something we found out in hindsight that was happening all along for the young guys and Thibs - there is just no way those guys are that effective. Just zero chance of it in fact, not at the level they are going at.
Thibs is "right"? Not even close man. Stretch your horizons out, this aint about anyone making the right or wrong call, just more that there is a lot going on that you are not considering at all.

or "Fire Thibs". no mention of another coach execpt one that has one elsewhere.
Open concept whining. WHere fans want to fix something but can't say what it is.Listen to Frik and Frak here lol
Cant get stoked about our best scoring option also being a liability in crunch time. If we can get a good return, this would be the time to trade Randle.Wasnt suggesting that Randle be moved without a good deal in place.
Draymond Green? Your funny bro.
32 year old who is heading down and up for an overpriced renewal? Nah I'm good.
Typical Knicks fan starphuck mentality where their vision of what some guy was is enough to make them think they will be that here. Which btw, a vision reinforced by riding the jocks of several future HOFs
This is exactly the type of deal that reenforces the logic of us "Randle" lovers (Knicks lovers) for keeping Randle.
