Another good win.

It's always something. Now he's shooting better, but can't hit his free throws 🤣 One game he'll have it all going at the same time.

Well if he ever gets it all together he is an all star. If he remains this inconsistent he will break our hearts. But whatcha gonna do. He is here to stay more then likely. Team won big with IQ being dreadful. Imagine if the team gets one or two more impactful players... We have draft picks and contracts to make it happen. If I am the Knicks I am offering our two picks for Tari Eason and or a future unprotected for that young two way cat.

Like clockwork Miles McBride with a +11 in 13 minutes 38 seconds.
martin @ 12/16/2022 11:46 PM
That was dominance.

Knicks are a well organized team right now.

This may have been one of the best games I’ve seen from Randle as a Knicks player, was stout on both ends.

Sometimes a game is more than a game. The way this win went down the Bulls have some serious questions about their organization. They really need to consider what they could get for LaVine DeRozan Vuc and Caruso and consider rebuilding around Patrick Williams.

Yes, I have never seen him that focused on defense. If this level becomes his new norm, he just might make another All-Star team.

I missed the game but glad to hear this. I was hoping nobody will say he didn’t play well because he didn’t shoot well. Glad to see someone acknowledge that basketball is more than just making shots.

We have a few current all stars on our team (JB and Randle) and up and coming all stars (Grimes and RJ).

Can’t say enough about deuce and his defensive effort in only 13 mins.

Coach Thibs now has a soft spot in my heart. Once I saw on the replay that he put d.rose in the game, that was a classy move. And how grimes and deuce looks now. If he listened to me and put those guys in earlier like most of us complained about, they might not look like the same player now regarding their impact on the game. Just wanted to acknowledge that since I’ve had multiple discussions on that topic. So I’m giving Thibs his flowers now. Grimes and deuce look hungry and ready.

Did I read that we are a top 3 team in the entire nba in rebounding and offensive rebounding? That’s not happening without money Mitch. So shout out to the FO as well for drafting these players and locking Mitch up. He’s been looking great lately.

Solid team win. We are turning back the clock fellas. The team is playing better than the 4th seed team of the pass past (hard to type on a flip phone at 6am).

Love it

We bleed orange and blue. Let’s keeps this positive momentum going (win or lose).

Just met with a friend of mine who lost his daughter in a car accident. Give people their flowers now, don’t wait. And stop wasting valuable time on frivolous stuff. Time is short. Love, live and be a positive impact in someone’s life.

Let’s get it. We officially have a playoff team thanks to Thibs, and several picks thanks to the FO.

I was curious how hard it would be to scrape realtime game stats. Feels hacky, but the following...

import pandas as pd

html = pd.read_html("https://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore/_/gameId/401468589")
df = pd.concat([html[1], html[2]], axis=1)

3 times last night Brunson made a slight change to his weakside defense that got him 3 steals. Instead of staying packed in the paint he stunted to the paint and once the strong side drive was made he got back in normal weakside defensive position so he was in position to catch the bailout pass all 3 times. If he just does this a couple times a game that is so huge. That was 3 times that we got a steal that earlier in the season would have been a wide open 3. If this continues and we continue to play the kids a majority of my main issues with the team in the past would be solved.

Nice explanation. I was trying to figure out how he was positioning himself for those steals. Was hard to tell in real time, he kind of came out of the shadow of a bigger player. He stunted but got back. Smart move.

People forget, ScoreBot is even younger than RJ. I feel like this will be his breakout year!

Mostly because he was in with RJ and Grimes during decent runs. But yes, kid has been a solid defender in the second unit.
