Really sad to hear about this. Orr was an assistant at G'town with Ewing, so he was still active. RIP#55
Very sad. He was on the team when I really first started to follow the Knicks. Mostly overmatched but just a great guy to root for. RIP
Too little out there - here is one clip on youtube:

And this is from Facebook - a buzzer beater win over Boston:

Rest in Peace. Sad news. Hearing Orr's name takes me back in time.
Yeah, Orr came in during the Hubie era soon after my baptism as a Knick fan. I remember him being real skinny (listed at 6' 8" and 175 lbs!) but playing hard and clutch -- an important part of Hubie's overachieving two unit teams that pulled the Knicks out of an awful quagmire and made the playoffs. 64 years old, damn, rest in peace sir....
RIP once a Knick always a Knick.
I modeled my shooting form after him. Then other kids made fun of me. The end.
I will always remember him banking in a 3pter to win the game on MLK and beat Bird (had good seats).
Body percentage-wise and lack of strength considered - maybe the greatest Knick ever!
RIP Louis Orr!
In all seriousness, I recently looked him up a few days ago, wondering what he was up to and saw he had gone into coaching.
I started watching the Knicks just before the Ewing era. Those teams with Bill Cartwright, Bernard King, Orr, Sparrow, Grunfeld, Trent Tucker, Ken the Animal Bannister… coach Hubie Brown…
Lots of unconventional shooting form in the bunch.
